Sweet ARCHER is a gorgeous mixed breed boy looking for a new home. Archer is a 39 lb. 5ish year old boy, our best guess on breed is a red heeler/beagle mix. Archer is a timid boy looking for a quiet home. He would be okay with a confident dog or fine as an only dog. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but delicious treats help speed the process. Archer needs a home with a physically-fenced yard. He is housebroken. If you'd like to meet Archer, please fill out a dor adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. Cincinnati, Ohio Ginger is a Red Heeler and makes the sweetest companion and loyal guard dog/watchdog for her owner. Her owner's child has an allergy and for that reason we're needing to re-home her. At 7 1/2 years old, Ginger loves fetching a ball and jumping in water to cool down. Blow up a balloon and bat it back and forth with her and she will crack you up. She does well sharing a home with other dogs. She would be better in a home without real young children (due to the herding), but she has done well with our 6-10 year old kids, even letting us know when one needs help. She is up to date on all vaccines, is spayed, and recently had her teeth cleaned. Ginger is not overly active but is a Heeler. She needs some room to move around (like a backyard), loves to go on walks/play fetch, and would do great if you give her a job to do.
