She is approximately 2 years old. She was found roaming the streets in Hickory, so we do not know much about her past. She is a silly and sweet dog. She likes to play with toys and is very affectionate. She is energetic as she is quite young, but doesn’t care much about running around in the yard. She would prefer to be by someone’s side. Although she loves her people, she is not good with other dogs. She needs to be in a home where she is the only dog. We are unsure about cats as we have not seen her around them, but I suspect she would not do great with them. She can be a little timid around men at first but will quickly warm up to them. She likse to go on walks although she could use some leash training. She is house-trained and well-behaved. I have not crated her since she has been with us, and we have not had any issues. She has grown accustomed to sleeping in the people bed where she likes to burrow under the blankets. She has been fully vaccinated and spayed and has had complete lab work done and has no health issues. She would make a great companion for a person or family who would appreciate her sweet personality and wouldn’t mind throwing a ball for her from time to time.Contact me today at leighvidrine@gmail.com to learn more about sweet Rose. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. November 28, 2024, 1:38 am

She’s got the biggest personality of any animal I’ve interacted with. She is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and gets monthly flea/tick prevention and an annual heartworm prevention injection. She loves to run, cuddle, eat and sleep!  June loves anything that squeaks or anything she can tear apart.  We’ve had so many funny times with her and she never fails to make me laugh.Thinking of our home without her makes me sad, but she deserves a better situation than she’s in. We have 40 animals total.  After working with a behaviorist for over a year and dealing with the constant battle of dealing with June injuring herself, us or our other animals on multiple occasions, we’ve decided she deserves better than we’re providing for her. She is NOT good with any small animals and is half and half on other dogs. She gets along great with our boy but can’t be near our girl.  We had some challenges previously with her being very wide open and very hyper all the time, but once we finally were able to fence in our yard everything changed.  June was able to run for hours on end with our boy and get so much energy out. She turned into a different dog in every way. Unfortunately letting all the energy out like that hasn’t changed her temperament with our other animals. June is such a sweet girl, she loves people and kids also. She’d be great in a home with kids and no animals! She’s so goofy and makes all the kiddos in my life laugh so much.Contact me today at alyssa.horner@allentate.com to learn more about fun June! Story
Shiloh is a great dog. She would be perfect on a large plot of land with a family. She is high energy and explorative. She is a fast learner, food motivated and has many commands. Her release word from a stay or her asking for something is "Free". Shiloh was found with 5 siblings in a parking lot on a hot day in Raleigh a year and a half ago. Now she loves winter, and playing in water on hot days. She is great candidate for buttons, as she has learned to hold or offer affirmative barks on the word of the thing she wants. Housebroken, loving, emotionally aware, crate trained. I am just looking for a family that can provide her the attention, space and activity she needs to be fulfilled.
