Story
This sweet girl is a Cattle Dog rescued by Piedmont Animal Rescue from Western NC, and her journey is nothing short of inspiring! When she first came into foster care, she was completely shut down and terrified of the world around her. But with love, patience, and the companionship of her foster brothers and sisters, she’s blossoming in ways we couldn’t have imagined thanks to our partners at Elevation K9 Training. Her Amazing Progress: • She’s now eating comfortably alongside her foster siblings. • She plays and seeks out engagement from people she once feared. • She’s building confidence with every new field trip and exposure to the world. This beautiful girl still has some learning and growing to do, but her progress shows she’s on the path to becoming a wonderful, loyal companion. She’s looking for a forever family that can continue helping her discover how amazing life can be. Could you be the one to show her the love and stability she deserves? Lucy's adoption fee includes a MANDATORY series of training to ensure ongoing success for her and her new humans.  ($350 value). Story
Meet Nora! Nora is a sweet girl and will become her best self with a patient and a loving family. She warms up to women fairly quickly but needs a little extra time with men.   Nora is a darling dog and gets along very well with her foster siblings (dogs and a cat).  She has shown some interest in the cat but is not aggressive and backs away when told.  Nora is not a fan of a crate, but this has not been a problem as she is housebroken and sleeps on a dog bed at night. Nora has only been walked outside on a leash due to her heartworm treatment, but she would love the freedom of a secure fenced yard. Loud noises and strange sounds are sometimes scary, so a quiet home is best for Nora. She is a loving precious girl who can’t wait to find her forever home.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 28, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
My name is Cancun and I am a little 3 month  old red Heeler mix pup that is just as cute and fun as you can imagine from my looks.  I am 12 pounds and was just neutered last week and completed all of my shots and wormings and am fully ready to spread my wings and find my own dog pad in this world.  My foster mom found me and my sister and brother on her front porch steps in a box and she never knew who left us there. She said that word is out that she has a big heart and does rescue work.  Well I am thankful for her and what kind of care she has given us.  I love other dogs, adore cats and I am a great little guy to play with people at all times. I am working on potty training but as you can guess I am not there yet because I am too young.  I need leash training and I do understand about crates and why I have to love being in one.   If you are interested in me please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   I will be a 25-30 pound boy when I grow up.  Just the perfect smallish medium boy that will have lots of positive energy and lots of smarts!  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 16, 2025, 8:33 pm
