Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 19, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
My name is Axel and I am a Blue Heeler mix male that weighs about 28 to 30 lb and I am looking for a fun and active family. Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised me a great life and future that will give me all the love and comforts that a dog deserves. Me and my siblings have been in a Tennessee small town shelter for almost 2 months. We've done pretty good because we're getting decent care but a shelter is not a place for puppies to grow up. I am the kind of boy that will be happy and loving and go on all the great adventures or hikes that you want to go on. I just need someone to give me the opportunity to show what a terrific type of dog I can be. I am good with other dogs and I'll be fine with cats too because I think they're pretty cool. I will need some help on getting into a good house breaking schedule and potty break timeouts.   I am a dog that is very adaptable and above all very lovable. I would be great with kids, a young adult couple, a single person, or an empty nest couple.   I could be a second or third dog or I could be the only dog. A secretly fenced yard would really be fun, so that I could just hang out for hours on my own.  If you read up about the Heeler breed, you will learn that they are very smart and very devoted to their families. We aren't on the go all the time and have chill buttons that certainly can be punched. I would love to hang out and watch some TV with you or stay at your feet while you're reading or working on the computer. I just need exercise everyday to some degree. I'm not a shy dog and I'm not a anxious dog, but I am a good dog to consider as you're forever best friend. If you were interested in making me a part of your future life with a dog, I'll be a good one, I promise. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
This handsome little heeler mix guy is called Megatron aka hoss and he and his siblings were left in a Rubbermaid blue plastic bin outside of a rural shelter in small town Tennessee. This litter of four precious puppies were not healthy at the time, but Critter Cavalry Rescue has made sure that they have gotten the best in vet care and wonderful food. This little guy has a 10-year-old boy to play with and a  adult Heeler dog along with his siblings. At just 11 weeks, he is 15 lbs. and robust and looking for adventure every minute of the day. He has the biggest personality and also is the biggest of the litter of four. He's a little puppy that is looking for good play sessions with other dogs and humans and some special chill time to chew on the special bones he is given by his foster mom. Soft beds are definitely inviting for him to cuddle and having you pick him up is a great comfort too. He is smart and of course with that comes the inquisitive nature of investigating everything in the backyard and the house. Megatron likes to know where his people are but he is also very content to find his own comfy spot to chill out. He is being potty trained and leash trained as we speak. Everyday he learns a little more. If you were looking for an active puppy that will be fun to train then Megatron is your guy. He will be a 45 lb adult dog when fully grown. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com And please mention the city and state that you live in. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

He`s also an active boy who loves trail walks and running, making him the perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle. After getting his exercise in, Carter walks well on the leash, making outings enjoyable.Carter is both potty trained and crate trained, and he`s non-destructive when left out. He`s looking for a patient adopter who can help him build confidence and learn to socialize with other dogs. Story
“You can’t resist reading Pointer’s profile  because he is so darn cute, but Pointer isn’t for everyone. Pointer is a Blue Heeler mix, weighing in at less than 30 lbs. Just like bigger herding dogs, Pointer likes to chase, herd, nip heels and is very strong-willed. Pointer needs lots of exercise and must have mental stimulation throughout the day. He enjoys learning commands and working on his obedience commands and would make an excellent agility, nose work, scent work or other sport participant. Pointer is not a couch potato and when left to entertain himself, he can get into trouble. Pointer needs a person who is experienced with herding breeds or dogs who are competitive in sports and are not put off by his strong personality.  With the right person, Pointer can be the ultimate friend!  I would not be a candidate for an apartment, condo/townhome or a home without a fence. If interested in giving me a forever home please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.com Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Characteristics Standing between 17 to 20 inches at the shoulder, the Australian Cattle Dog is a sturdy, hard-muscled herder of strength and agility. The ACD is born with a white coat that turns blue-gray or red. Both coat varieties feature distinctive mottling or specking patterns. ACDs have immense work drive and excel at hunting, chasing, and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and supple gait make them excellent running partners.ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, ever alert, and wary of strangers. If an ACD isn’t challenged, he easily becomes bored and gets into mischief. It is recommended that ACD owners participate with their dog in some work, sport, or regular exercise to keep him mentally and physically fit.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.
