Story
Buddy... Good day... We are looking for a foster to adopt family! I currently reside with my mom and several other canines here. I'm the chestnut and white fellow. We are active, affectionate and very loyal. We are house trained and do well on a leash. We also lived with a big blue Doberman for a time. We are a bit shy around other dogs initially but do well with proper introductions. We enjoy playing and spending time with Jesse the white lab and a chihuahua named Mr. Bean. https://highdesertdobermanrescue.org/adoption-application Belen NM 87002

Story
Meet Marvelous Mike!Mike is a chill vibes kinda dog. He is ready to explore and play when he has the option but is happy to hang with his people too. He`s an active and social guy with an even, well-rounded temperament. He is not super treat motivated but is a curious guy. He`s affectionate and checks in with you for kisses and pets and loves to be brushed (easy short hair).Mike loves playing with toys, splashing in the kiddie pool, and he fetches too! And of course he likes going for walks and would love to go anywhere with you. He walks decent on leash, with minimal pulling, but likes to stop and smell (pee on) the roses often. Mike rides well in the car and likes looking out the front window with you.Mike has been dog friendly and if you already have a dog please bring them with you to meet Mike to see if they`ll be good pals. Mike got to go on a Doggie Day Out (video below) where he did well meeting lots and lots of strangers at the Holiday market! This includes other dogs of all sizes, as well as adults and kids. Mike was happy to get pets from a 5 year old child as well as a 6ft tall gentleman- who was even wearing a hat! If you`re looking for a four-legged buddy to share your life with, then come and meet this good boy. He promises to be a loyal friend and is sure to make your life more fun!Come on down to Animal Welfare on the West side to adopt or to foster Mike. He’s waiting for you!Video of Mike at railyards and in play yard: https://youtube.com/shorts/LN8eIwh_WUU?si=2sW-crsuGFiaSrrn

Story
Meet Cooper! This three-year-old bundle of joy is a friendly, affectionate pup who’s eager for adventure. Cooper is sweet and mellow but gets extra excited when it’s time for a walk—sometimes pulling on the leash in his eagerness to leave his kennel. He`s curious and interested in other dogs, though he may rush in enthusiastically to meet them, so a slow introduction works best. The shelter staff recommends bringing any resident dogs to meet him first to ensure they are a good fit. Cooper is friendly with everyone he meets, and he is well-suited to a family with older children. With his love for the outdoors, Cooper would make an ideal hiking or running partner and would be thrilled with daily walks to burn off his energy. Ready to welcome this friendly, loyal companion into your life? Cooper can’t wait to meet his new family!

Story
Hi! My name is Tina! I am about one-year old, still a puppy (though I should tell you I am 31 lbs. and growing), and it is hypothesized that I am an Australian Cattle Dog Mix. I really have no idea about that, but I can say one thing, I am very excited about life, and I’m hoping for the best. When you first meet me, you will realize that I am full of energy. I find it hard to contain myself sometimes, frankly. But though I really like to play vigorously, I am gentle and affectionate with people and other dogs, when it comes right down to it. I also calm down very much after running off (or walking off) energy. That is my only problem, I think, I have too much energy—but the nice people here have told me that a little time and a little support will help me with that.Let’s see, what else…I like to play with toys and chase balls. I like to frolic generally. I like to be petted and scratched. I do well on the leash when I have had a chance to calm myself down a little, and I am sure I’ll get better at it.I would love to meet you and have the chance to become your happy companion.Love Tina
