Story
Hi!  My name is Ricky and I am looking for a forever home.  I was adopted out from a small rescue when I was just a small puppy, but then my owner decided that he just didn't have time for a puppy and brought me back on Christmas Eve ... I was crushed!  But my luck changed when a BCAA foster heard about what happened to me and since she was already coming to pick up some other dogs for BCAA, said she would take me, too ... yeah!!!  I'm just a little over 6months old and currently weigh a little under 30lbs; the vet guesstimates that I might put a little bit of weight on (I am a little on the skinny side) but that I should stay 35-40lbs full grown.  The best guess of my breed is a cattle dog  (I've got some beautiful ticking/markings) and a terrier with my ears; whatever I am, my foster mom says I'm a really handsome boy.  I have gotten along with the other medium/large dogs I have met and while I've shown a little interest in the cats, so far I haven't bothered them.  I'm working on getting potty training down and have done better as long as I get out on a regular basis as I'm learning to hold it in my crate.  I will go right in my crate when asked as I get good food and treats in there, but I would really prefer to be out and about with you.  I love my food and treats which will be great in helping me with any future training you might want to do.  I'm pretty good on leash and enjoy going out on adventures.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
If you want to adopt Boots, fill out this application form FIRST!: https://form.jotform.com/243134969050053 Boots is currently in a foster home at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near a city listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Boots is a mixed breed; our Apple AI guesses are all over the place. So, we are guessing Cattle Dog/Catahoula mix and just turned a year old (December 29th). -She's 32 pounds. -Came in with another dog and gets along with other dogs as well. No food aggression. -Very, very friendly -Walks well on a leash -Quiet, well mannered. Doesn't bark much. -Her ears stand up straight when she hears something interesting. -Hates going in her kennel so we are assuming she is housebroken. If not, we are sure she can learn quickly. -We can test her with cats but we assume she wouldn't have any issue. Video of Boots: https://youtube.com/shorts/GBED4eHu94g?feature=share Boots is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test (done on Dec 12th), on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550 total; this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost. If you aren't contacted within 48 hours after filling out online form (LINK ABOVE), please contact us again at 580-257-0622 or luckypawsdoghouse@gmail.com.
