Trooper was found scared and all alone on a rural road. He is deaf and blind. That does not stop him! He's super sweet and active. He manages to map out a house very quick! He loves playing with all his doggy buddies & would do best with a companion dog. He enjoys going to dog parks and playing!! Trooper is great with cats and can go up and down stairs. Nothing can stop this dog from succeeding. **If you would like to adopt, please fill out an adoption form which can be found on the animal's profile page at www.straypawsrescue.com

Meet Taz! This playful 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog was found in St. Peters on 9/9/24. While he might seem a bit nervous and reserved at first, the key to his heart is through PLAY! Taz absolutely loves chasing tennis balls and carrying around jolly balls. Though he`s quiet and takes some time to feel comfortable around other dogs, he would thrive with a respectful canine friend who gives him the space to warm up. Taz`s perfect match would be a dog who shares his gentle play style. As an Australian Cattle Dog, Taz would do best in an active and patient home, ready to shower him with love and plenty of cattledog stimulation! Due to his instinct to chase, he would not do well in a home with cats. Could you be the one to help Taz come out of his shell and live his best life?

Story
Meet Ripley, a 4-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a heart full of hope. Found as a stray on 9/3/24 in Wentzville, Ripley has been through a lot. Her time in the kennel has left her stressed and anxious, but she`s ready to find a loving home where she can truly shine.Ripley is a smart girl who knows basic commands and has a high energy level. She absolutely adores squeaky toys and loves to play fetch, always bringing the ball back with enthusiasm. While she is partially potty trained, she thrives in an environment where she can receive the attention and care she needs.Due to her high energy and anxiety, Ripley would benefit from a dog interaction to help her feel more secure and happy. She’s vocal when coming out of the kennel, a sign of her eagerness to find a forever family who will understand and love her.Ripley is ready for a home where she can be herself, play to her heart`s content, and finally feel at peace. Could you be the one to give Ripley the loving home she deserves?

ENNIKILLEN HELLOOOOOOOO WORLD It's me, Ennikillen! Named after the beautiful Irish town, meaning "Kathleen's Island," I like to think I'm a little island of joy myself! I'm a laid-back 2-year-old Australian Red Heeler and, oh yeah, SUPER MOM of 10 pups! After being the best mom ever, I'm ready for some well-deserved "me time!" My foster dad says I'm an absolute rockstar, and I'm not arguing with that. Now I'm on the lookout for a forever fam that'll treat me like the queen I am. A little secret-the neighborhood kids LOVE me! They come by all the time just to ask if they can take me for walks! I guess I'm a bit of a local celebrity. Quick facts about me: Social butterfly (I get along with all the puppers and humans too!) Full of zoomies and fueled by snacks Looking for my next cuddle buddy (Is that YOU?) P.S. My pups are graduating tomorrow, so this momma is ready to kick back, enjoy some treats, and soak up belly rubs. Think we're a match made in doggy heaven? Let's set up a meet-and-greet, and I'll bring the zoomies! https://www.straypawsrescue.com/information/95579314 **If you would like to adopt, please fill out an adoption form which can be found on the animal's profile page at www.straypawsrescue.com

Story
In a world of fur and joy, there's a Heeler named Brownie, oh so coy, With fur as red as autumn leaves, he's the cleverest of canine thieves. At two, he's full of boundless glee, a furry friend for you and me. Smart as a whip, this Heeler boy, his heart's a treasure, a boundless joy. In tricks and flips, he finds delight, learning with all his canine might. Two years old, his spirit free, a loyal friend, he longs to be. Attuned to you, his person dear, his love's a bond that's crystal clear. Bestest friend, he aims to be, beside you through eternity. Fetch and roll, and sit and stay, he'll dance and prance, bright as the day. With every bark, a tale he'll weave, of loyalty that won't deceive. He dreams of walks and treats galore, his heart, your love, forevermore. Brownie, the Heeler, red and bright, a canine star, a pure delight. In fields of green and skies so blue, he'll be the bestest friend to you. Brownie has the desire to be with his person and would make a great and loving support dog or full time companion. He is focused on his people (and the belly rubs they give!!!) Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Mac is a sweet boy who knows what he wants! He does love to chase and play with animals smaller than him. Due to this we suggest that he does not go home to a family that has cats or things like chickens. Squirrels watch out! This little guy can move! Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go. He is housebroken and does just fine in a crate! If he sounds like the boy for you then don't wait! Story
Meet Phineas! Phineas is a very energetic medium-sized pup. He was previously adopted from God's Dogs when he was 3 months old, but recently returned through no fault of his own. Phineas is a goofy guy: he smiles & makes "air chomps, when he is happy or while playing with a canine buddy. He is also a water baby! He loves jumping into the baby swimming pool & attempting to dig out the water in between breaks for zoomies & wrestling. Because of confidence issues and a high play drive, he must have a canine companion. He is crate trained, and requires crating for meals & high-value treats. With his great looks, sweet/derpy demeanor, and love for people of all ages, dogs, & cats, Phineas is a great addition for an active household! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Flash is a very well taken care of dog. He is friendly, playful, curious, happy. He is great with my 20 month old granddaughter. He is nervous with strangers at first, but calms down. Larger family gatherings that fill up our home can be a little more nerve wracking because he is always on alert and on the move because of his breed type. The anxiety has gotten worse over the years, again because of the constant traffic noise that comes from the main street we live on. We have used a behavioral trainer and I believe that with the right person who understands Aussies and can train him and exercise him, Flash would be one heck of an amazing pet. He is so close to it now. I believe he would do well in a quiet environment away from excessive traffic noises, possible multiple dog home, one where he can be exercised. He is a very social dog. He goes to doggie daycare 3-4 days a week and has since he was little. He has also been boarded. The daycare place has no problems with Flash.

Meet Alisha! She’s a sweet corgi/aussie mix and she’s so gorgeous! Alisha is about 3.5 years old and weighs 37 pounds. She was rescued from a hoarding situation, so she’s very used to other dogs. We’ll update as we get to know more about her.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 17, 2024, 8:50 pm
