Approx DOB: 7/4/22    Approx weight: 40pds Adoption Fee $175 NO CATS.... she has a strong prey drive so probably no small animals that size or smaller to be safe Della is a super smart dog and really wants to please her people. Della is well behaved in the home and knows good house manners. It seems day by day her personality is coming out and we can tell she just wants her own family.   She is housebroken and crate trained.  We are working on leash training and she is doing better day by day on our walks.  Della does great with dogs medium size but seems to want to dominate some dogs that are larger then her.  We are still working with her on learning how to be friends with those sizes. She loves toys especially balls.    Della has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! MILO IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR ONE OF OUR PARTNER RESCUES. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING MILO, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION AT kcpaws.org AND WE WILL FOWARD YOUR APPLICATION TO THE RESCUE. link to application: https://form.jotform.com/230296113596155 Milo is about 30 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. Hey there, my name is Milo! I’ve been at the shelter for a while now, but before I came here I was living in a homeless camp. My rescuer found me in a bad situation and brought me to my PAWS family. I am an energetic guy, and I love to run and wrestle with my canine friends. I play in doggy daycare every day! My motto is: Play hard, Nap hard. I can be shy when first meeting people, but once I get to know you I’m sure I’ll love you! I love to snuggle and I appreciate a nice, warm blanket.  I’ve only been in a house a couple times in my life, so I’ll need to learn the ropes, but I am a quick learner and I promise I’ll make you proud! If you are interested in learning more about me, apply to meet me today! October 28, 2024, 6:52 pm

Story
Meet Giblet! Gibby is a slow, sweet older man who is undergoing heartworm treatment and would desperately love to find a foster or furever home. Giblet loves to snuggle and go for walks, but he does struggle with stairs since he is an old man. He would love a bed to sleep next to his people all night long! He prefers dogs like him that are older and won't get too up in his business. Please consider giving this older gentleman a home, he has been waiting so patiently!

Story
Bonanza is a medium size, young dog that is housebroken, crate trained, travels well, walks well on a lead, rides well and tolerates a bath (does not like his nails trimmed). He is short haired, stays clean and is a medium shedding dog. He knows sit, stay and go to bed as long is there is a treat attached to that command. He likes his dinner in his crate, loves chew bones and all toys. He does great with his canine foster brothers and sisters, who are all larger than he is. Bonanza is well behaved and well mannered, has medium energy and likes to be a couch potato. He is VERY slow to warm up to people and is picky on who he warms up to. His ideal home would be one that is quite, with a mature couple or single female. Bonanza prefers women over men. He loves his foster father, but his foster mother is his world. NO small animals or fowl. Bonanza's best friend is his canine foster brother who is a laid back, lazy English Lab, who offers him support and gives him confidence in new situations. Bonanza does travel well and is being exposed to a variety of new situations in his foster home, but absolutely does not warm up to strangers and will avoid new people.

Story
Pearl is a 1 year old, 20lb mini Aussie mix gal. She is beautiful and you have to feel her super soft coat to really appreciate it! She is kennel trained and keeps a clean kennel. Pearl is super smart and very treat and praise motivated. Pearl is kid, cat and dog friendly :) She would do best with a confident dog friend and/or dedicated work towards continued socialization at a doggie daycare or supervised doggie play date. We are working on leash training and recall. She is a sneaky gal and will leave her kennel (her safe space) to sneak around and grab kid toys and random items and take it back to her kennel. She has gotten the zoomies a couple times now and was so pleased with herself! Pearl's most perfect new family will be loving and patient as she is learning that people can be so much fun! She is working on socialization and already greets everyone with tail wags and gentle kisses. This sweet girl has two sisters in the Kansas City area, who would love to meet up occasionally for play dates!
