Story
Daphne is a fabulous 7 year old pup. She is sweet, protective, and snuggly. She loves to play with other dogs, but can be noisy. While she is a barker, it is never to be aggressive. Daphne is the dog that will lay in bed with you all day and longs to spend all her time with you. She is needing to be rehomed due to circumstances that are not her fault.

Story
Cami is a fairly new member of The Pet Connection's team. She's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest as she already knows to do her business outside. She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved. It's going to take her a while to trust people and she'd appreciate a quiet home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. She also prefers to be your one and only pooch, if you don't mind. She promises to love you to the moon and back, though! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Story
Abby girl has lost the only home she's ever known. Her mama went to assisted living and her dad could no longer care for her. We promised that we'd find their baby a new home. Abby was adopted as a puppy from a rescue in Oklahoma in 2016 and turned eight in March. She was so frightened and shut down when she came to stay with us at The Pet Connection. But what we've learned about Abby since she joined us a few months ago has been delightful. It started with Abby being a little bit silly with her favorite green rubber toy and now she's a master fetcher in the play yards, with full-on wiggle butts when she sees people she knows! The girl's got some moves! She can still be a little shy at first, but the way to Abby's heart is definitely through her stomach--hot dogs and chicken being the preferred treats. They help her overcome her fears of just about anything. :) What Abby really needs now, though, is to be in a home, with a person or family, to experience the routine of a regular day with people who love her again. Once you meet Abby, you just might find that you need her as much as she needs you! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Abby. She's in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #seniorsrule

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Colonel is a bit of a Velcro dog and needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him. He is a very good boy who still needs some obedience training. He is house trained and is able to be left to roam when nobody is home. Colonel's favorite things are his pork chews, his blue soccer ball, his foster brother dog, and people. He could play “soccer” with you for hours and would thrive with an athletic family that can keep up with him. He loves to cuddle and sleep in bed with you. Colonel does well with other dogs, cats, and chickens but would be best in a home with no older animals and no small children as he is still working on containing his energy and might be too much for them. Approximate Birthdate:   March 2023 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
About 8 years old, Toast is a moderate-high energy dog with a lot of life and energy left still. Once she knows and trusts you, you will be charmed by her expressive, goofy, fun-loving demeanor. She is a lover of head and booty scritches, but is not normally one to snuggle up next to you on the couch or in bed. She will still get up in your business, though in a playful and loving manner (especially when trying to eat!). She still gets the zoomies and enjoys physical play. She can be just as happy snoozing around all day or being out and enjoying long walks. She loves to destroy squeaky toys. Toast is food motivated. She will sit and wait for her dinner with either Go or Free as her release command, and is getting better at Place. She is generally quiet. Toast is an aggressive dog that battles anxiety & resource guarding issues. She has a prey drive for small animals & cats. She is not good with other dogs, and should not be with children.
