Story
Our wonderful friend, Hypatia, is still looking for her home. We thought we’d mention some of the characteristics that would make her a great addition to someone’s family. *Hypatia is a bit of a couch potato. She is no stranger to the zoomies but she likes to spend most of her time relaxing on cozy furniture, either independently or (preferably) with a favorite human. *Hypatia moonlights as a blanket. She adores cuddling and being close to the people she loves. This will come in handy as the temperatures drop. *Hypatia is housetrained. She does her business as soon as she gets outside. You won’t need to set up any bells or whistles to get this girl to go potty outside. *Hypatia is independent. She loves her people but is also happy to spend long periods by herself napping or chewing on a favorite toy. She doesn't need a super active family to maintain her energy level. Hypatia would be fine with a busy owner or family that can’t always be home with her. *Hypatia is entertaining and a lot of fun. See the picture of Hypatia and her blue pool for just one example. She's a goofball, so sit back and watch. *Hypatia loves her people. This dog has more friends than most people we've met. Everyone who knows Hypatia loves her. Hypatia has never had a person or family of her own to spoil her. We cannot imagine how much love she will give to the person or family who brings her into their home and gives her the love and stability she has always deserved. Please consider welcoming Hypatia into your life through foster or adoption. If you can't do this, please share her far and wide. Hypatia tends to get overlooked because she is a pit mix, has white on her face so she looks older than she is, and because she needs to be an only dog. We need to expand the circle of people who know about her to help her find her family. Hypatia is a 3.5-year-old cattle dog/pit mix available through The Pet Connection in Raytown, MO. Hypatia’s adoption fee will be covered by one of her many friends and she will come with a life starter kit from The Rosie Fund. Transportation can be provided to the right home. Hypatia will need to be an only pet but, after meeting Hypatia, you’ll know that she is the only pet you need. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info. #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #FosterDog #CattleDogMix #PitMix #RaytownMO #DogLovers #ForeverHomeNeeded #ShareForHypatia #ThePetConnection

Story
Let Cami be the queen of your castle! She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved and we have no doubt that she will steal your heart. She enjoys peaceful activities with her people. (Check out her fishing adventure in Minnesota last winter!) It's going to take Cami a bit to trust and she'd appreciate a home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. While she can be picky about her canine friends, a super social dog might just do the trick. Of course, Cami would be perfectly satisfied being your one and only, too. Either way, she promises to love you to the moon and back! Cami's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest. She's quiet, doesn't get into things she shouldn't, and already knows to do her business outside. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Cami. She's staying with us in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #socute #happy

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Rigby is just the sweetest boy! He is about 2 years old, and all he wants in life is to snuggle and give you kisses! He gets along great with other dogs, but he does like to be in charge during play time so it would be best if other dogs in the home aren't too dominant. He also LOVES the kids in his foster home. He snuggles on their laps and tries to kiss them all the time! Rigby is fully potty trained, and he loves playing outside and just snuggling up at home. He really is the easiest pup around! While he is a good boy, he says no cats please :). Adopt Rigby today! Hey there, my name is Milo! I’ve been at the shelter for a while now, but before I came here I was living in a homeless camp. My rescuer found me in a bad situation and brought me to my PAWS family. I am an energetic guy, and I love to run and wrestle with my canine friends. I play in doggy daycare every day! My motto is: Play hard, Nap hard. I can be shy when first meeting people, but once I get to know you I’m sure I’ll love you! I love to snuggle and I appreciate a nice, warm blanket.  I’ve only been in a house a couple times in my life, so I’ll need to learn the ropes, but I am a quick learner and I promise I’ll make you proud! Story
Boba was just a puppy when my mother brought her home. She grew up with us but was ultimately neglected with the family that was suppose to take care of her. My mother no longer cared for her once Boba grew too big, and she found out the price tag of keeping a dog. She threw the responsibility to her children, who had no means of actually taking care of a dog without support from their parents. No one else in the family wants her, and none of us are available to actually train or care for her the way she needs. To be transparent, our financial troubles and schedule has left her untrained, lacking in social skills and lacking of medical records. All of which was through our incapability and overestimation that we would be good owners for her. But she deserves the world. In her I see so much life and love for a family that has failed her, so I hope that she can find a better home someplace else, where she can be safe, happy and well loved.

Story
Emma is a high energy dog with strong herding instincts! She currently belongs to my grandparents but they have found she is more than they can handle at this time in their life. She absolutely needs a place with room to run and could be a great addition to a farm. Emma is about 10 months old and so far has tended to be timid/cautious around new people, but still shows curiosity and excitement to make new friends. Currently unsure how she would do around small children or other animals but will say she still has a lot of playful puppy in her. We have been hesitant to post this doggy, hoping to keep her in the family but realize we just don't have the space and time she deserves. Up to date on all vaccines and spayed, she does not have a microchip, couldn’t figure out how to correct that info on her profile. Hope to find Emma her forever owner soon!! Thanks!!

Story
Great dog, very loyal. Listen well and knows basic commands. Once she knows you, she would be great at learning new tricks. She is not supper interested in toys and I have not gotten her to herd anything, but she has turned into quite the little hunter with her current partner in crime. I think she would do really well at things like barn hunting and agility. She is not a fan of small children or rough housing kids as they startle her and she gets very concerned and nervous around them and has nipped at them several times. She did fine when there was a baby cause they dont move to much, but now that the baby is older it makes Sonya very nervous whenever she is around, which is not an ideal situation for her. Her favorite things include being wherever you are, sleeping on her pillow, and following you around wherever you go. She does well in cars (just give her a pillow and she settles right down). She will need a slow introduction to other dogs.

Story
Meet Loki! He may take some time to open up to new faces, but beneath his guarded exterior lies a loyal and protective companion. Initially reserved with strangers, Loki prefers to set the pace when it comes to forming new connections. However, once he establishes trust, he is a steadfast and protective presence for his people. In his previous home, Loki has proven himself to be a reliable companion in households with children. His protective instincts extend to those he cares about, making him a loyal guardian. Loki is not only house trained but also kennel trained, displaying a knack for adapting to routines. His resource guarding tendencies and protectiveness may manifest during mealtimes or when strangers enter his domain, requiring a watchful eye and understanding approach. He is also capable of jumping a 6ft fence, so his new family will need to take the proper measures to ensure that he doesn't escape. For Loki to thrive, he craves both mental and physical stimulation. He will require regular exercise and ample attention in his forever home. If you're prepared to invest time, understanding, and love into this enigmatic canine friend, Loki may just become the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for!
