Approx DOB: 7/4/22    Approx weight: 40pds Adoption Fee $175 includes a 2 week trial. NO CATS.... she has a strong prey drive so probably no small animals that size or smaller to be safe Della is a super smart dog and really wants to please her people. Della is well behaved in the home and knows good house manners. It seems day by day her personality is coming out and we can tell she just wants her own family.   She is housebroken and crate trained.  We are working on leash training and she is doing better day by day on our walks.  Della does great with dogs medium size but seems to want to dominate some dogs that are larger then her.  We are still working with her on learning how to be friends with those sizes. She loves toys especially balls.    Della has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Phoenix is 10 months old. She is high energy and intelligent. She likes children, but can be uneasy around new adults. She knows basic commands like sit, wait, come, touch. She is crate trained and bell trained for asking to go outside. She currently lives with cats, and has never been aggresive towards them, but does like to chase due to herding instincts. She would do good in a home with a fenced backyard. She might do good with a friendly, chill dog companion. She enjoys playing with rope toys, and balls. She doesn't get sick in the car, but can get anxious on long rides. She does need someone who understands the breed and can help her gain more confidence in new situations and go slowly with her, as she can be anxious. We honestly weren't prepared for having a working breed dog, and all the mental stimulation/training; and while we love her, we know she could really shine with the right people to help her grow into a great dog!

Story
Dotti is a blue heeler who loves her humans so much! She will follow you everywhere and help with anything you are doing. She is very affectionate, loves walks and playing outside, and loves to be where people are. We have a new baby and cannot give her the attention she requires. She needs exercise and stimulation, and a little training couldn't hurt. She lived with a cat for three years without any issues, she is unsure around other dogs, and has never bitten any person or animal.
