Oscar is a happy, energetic dog who is looking for a new home where he can have space to play and relax. Oscar is very loyal and loving. He is a cuddler who loves belly rubs and getting scratched behind his ears. If he could, he would spend all day every day playing fetch! Oscar is a survivor. When he was very young, Oscar overcame an aggressive bout of parvovirus that had landed him in the hospital. Then, when he was about a year old, he was sadly hit by a car, which broke his pelvis and required extensive surgery. But that didn’t stop Oscar either! He made a full recovery and can run and jump just as well as ever, though sometimes after a long day of play his limp is visible. Oscar thrives in a home where he can have some personal space, preferably without young children. He has shown some signs of aggression in the past due to anxiety from his safe spaces being infringed upon. Oscar is housebroken, crate trained, and has had basic manners and in-home aggression training.

But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go.
