Story
Gentle Ben's estimated DOB is 06/12/2015 and he's a white and brown Red Heeler. He was found tied to a boat with a steel cable - he had deep injuries on his neck as a result from this cable digging into his skin. Regardless of how badly he was treated in the past, Gentle Ben is a sweet and happy boy these days! Ben adores all the attention he can get from his humans! This gentle boy can be shy and hesitant to trust new people but once that bond is made he is right by your side. This gentle soul does well in a crate at night and when recently in a foster home needed a few reminders about house training but seemed to pick up quickly on it. Ben has been known to pester cats and small animals so would do best as the only animal in the home. Ben can jump a regular chain-link fences, so he will require a privacy fenced home or leash walks. We would love love love to see someone take a chance on this perfect boy. He has gotten so used to life at the shelter that he seems to have given up on the possibility of a forever home, and doesn't show his true self when he's out at adoption events or meeting new people. Those of us that he knows well can attest that he is truly the sweetest, goodest boy! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Spot is a playful cattle dog mix. He is housetrained, crate trained, and does good on car rides (he actually loves them!). He will let you know when he has to potty by going straight to the door and whining. When you tell him "go to bed", he'll go right into his kennel and relax. Spot is a little dog selective, so a meet and greet with potential fur siblings is a must! He has gotten along great with two other male dogs at this point. We think he wasn't treated right by men at some point in his life, because he is very nervous when they put their hand over his head to pet him. While he can learn to trust them, he needs patience and not someone that will immediately start pushing boundaries. New people coming into his home makes him nervous as well, so a home where he can chill out in his kennel when guests are around, or one where guests aren't frequent, would be best for this pretty guy. Spot is a cuddle-bug once he is comfortable, and an overall good boy, he just needs the right home! pot - who knows the name Hank now, is a playful cattle dog mix. Story
Pixel is a bubbly 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. She`s on the smaller side, weighing around 36lbs, but she has a large and fun personality. She LOVES playing fetch and will play until you can`t play anymore! She`s an energetic girl that would love an active family, and a backyard is only a bonus for her. Come throw a ball for her, and you`ll become best friends in no time! Once she`s done playing, she`ll cuddle with you all night long. Pixel prefers no cats or kids in her future household. She would do best with dogs her size or larger and will need to meet them before going home with you. This sweet gal is ready for a forever family!

Story
Are you trying to master this whole being an adult thing? Me too! Hi there, I`m Bandit! I`m a young and friendly guy with a goofy side that`ll make you chuckle. I`ve got energy to spare and love to play. I enjoy tug of war, chase, and being sprayed with the water hose. My favorite thing? Making friends, both the two-legged and four-legged variety. I get along great with adults, older kids, and other dogs! At only 1 year old, I`m gaining knowledge on how to be an adult dog. So far, I`ve mastered the command `sit` and house-training is going pretty well. I`m still learning the ropes when it comes to leash manners, but I`m getting better every day. I`m just so eager to explore the world around me! I`m a sweet boy with an adventurous and energetic personality, and I`m searching for someone that matches my spark. If that sounds like what you`re looking for in a companion, look no further. I`m Bandit, an American Blue Heeler mix, and I`m ready to steal your heart!
