Story
Hi My name is Fancy . I am estimated to be 1.5 years old. I am a very sweet girl, but I have a very quirky personality. I am very good in the house , riding in the car and walking on a leash. When you first meet me , I act scared to death. My mom rejected me and my siblings at 2 weeks old. My foster mom thinks it is part of the reason I lack confidence when we first meet. It just takes a few times of meeting with you, and I get very attached and do not act so scared. I defiantly bond very fast to women. Once I feel comfy around you , I act just like every other dog. I love to give kisses , play with my toys and go for walks on the leash. I love my crate ; it is a great safe spot for me in the house. I love fresh carrots for a treat or a big rawhide to chew on. I have lived with several dogs before and enjoy their company. All my vet work is done, and I am microchipped. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee. I can be a very good loyal companion in the right setting. I would love a female owner and no young kids in the house with me. I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard if you walk me on a leash every day.

Story
Jade's owner passed away and she and her brother needed to find new homes. Her brother found a home because he is cat friendly and now Jade needs one. She is a herding breed and would do best with older kids as she reacts to quick movements and no cats. Jade is used to having her brother around so she might be a good companion for another young dog however she is also independent. Jade enjoys her toys and is playful. This breed is high energy and can be bossy but she is a very quick learner. Her foster mom is currently working on training manners with her. Jade is also crate trained. Her current foster home has 2 dogs and no children. Jade is microchipped and weighs about 50 pounds. Est birthdate 3/17/23

Story
Meet Meg, a senior dog with a heart full of sweetness. She`s a bit of an introvert, preferring quiet moments to boisterous ones. When you first meet her, she might seem shy, even a little anxious. But don`t be disheartened, it`s just her way of getting to know you. Once she warms up to you, her independence shines through. Meg loves her walks, each step she takes is a testament to her enduring spirit. She might be a senior, but she still has plenty of love to give. Adopting Meg means welcoming a gentle soul into your home. It means giving her the love she deserves, while receiving unconditional love in return. Meg isn`t just a dog, she`s a companion, a friend, and with the right home, she`ll be a beloved family member.Ideal home for Meg: - children 8 years and older, must meet

Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
Bolt is a 5 year old mini Aussie. He was a Covid puppy and at the time of adoption somebody was always home. He loves to swim, jump on the trampoline, walks, playing hide and seek and cuddling up at night. Unfortunately in recent months life happened and he is no longer able to experience the freedom of being a dog with a backyard to run in. He likes to go for walks but is not enjoying having to be chained up to go outside. Sometimes nervous around new people but is a very intelligent boy who deserves to run and have someone home with him. I would love to have some meet and greets to ensure his safety and comfort before rehoming him to his new family. He also LOVES his cat siblings and is so very gentle with them.
