Story
Foster location: Eagle, Michigan Meet Axel! Axel is a super handsome 1.5 year old Cattle Dog mix that is looking for his forever home. He is a very social boy who loves playing with his foster siblings and running with them in the yard, going for walks and meeting new people and then cuddling up on the couch at night with his foster mom. Axel has been attending doggy daycare and loves it! Axel is house and crate trained and walks good on a leash. He is great about chewing on his toys and bones and not getting into things he shouldn’t. Axel would enjoy an active home with another young dog to play with, he has really bonded with his foster siblings and enjoys running and playing with them. Kids make Axel nervous so he is looking for a home without children. Axel is a very sweet and smart boy and catches onto new things quickly, he is young and ready to learn! In order to set him up for success we would recommend his family enroll him in a positive reinforcement training class upon adoption. Axel’s adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, dewormed, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Please follow the instructions to apply for Axel found in the auto-reply you will receive or email adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application. Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.

Story
This dog found its way to our house a few months ago, we’ve been trying to find her a good home since, because we currently have chickens outside and a cat inside that she wouldn’t get along with. I would love to find a home for her with someone who either has another small dog or no other pets, before the winter gets too harsh. She is super sweet and she loves to snuggle, and has spent lots of time with another small dog we have. We have had to keep her in an enclosure or in a specific room of the house most of the time we’ve had her as she has tried to run away or go after our chickens.

Buddy is an absolute gem who is eager to please his person! He loves learning new tricks and having his brain worked, whether it's a 15-minute training session or a puzzle toy he has to figure out himself and trust me he will! He LOVES playing outside in the pool or chasing around the sprinkler stream and also enjoys long hikes through the woods. Buddy is a very active boy who would do best with a yard to run or a lake to swim in. Story
Jim Bob is my precious fur baby. He’s an Australian Cattle Stumpy Tail, so he’sgot a little nub on his bottom that wiggles when he’s super happy or excited! He turned 3 this year (July 15th) and is very energetic. He does get along well with dogs, but it takes him a minute to warm up. He’s been around his brother, who is an American Staffy but also did well at a slumber party with my friend’s pit bull and kitty cat. He does have a little bit of separation anxiety so giving him things he can chew and take his time on without destroying right away helps, or blankets! He's a big snuggler. He knows how to wait before licking, give kisses on command, plays fetch, is an incredible jumper, and overall ball of fun! I have not gotten him another round of vaccinations after having a severe reaction. He’s super sweet and I hate to have to do this, but leaving my abusive relationship has left me homeless and I just want him to be somewhere loving and safe. He does not deserve to be in a shelter.

Story
Hello, I`m Chief. I may be young, but I`ve got a big heart. I`m a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I`ll be your best friend. My sister Fancy and I are inseparable. We love to play and explore together. We`re a package deal, but I promise we`re twice the fun. I dream of a home where we can both feel safe and loved. Adopting me isn`t just about giving a dog a home. It`s about welcoming love, loyalty, and a bit of silliness into your life. Fancy and I can`t wait to meet you.

Story
Hi there, I`m Fancy. I`m young and a bit on the shy side. I love to play, but it takes me a little while to warm up to new friends. My best friend in the whole wide world is my dog brother, Chief. We`re inseparable, you see. We play together, sleep together, and share everything. Life`s always an adventure with Chief by my side. I dream of a home where we can stay together. A place where we can grow, play, and love. A family who will understand my shyness and give me time to adjust. A family who will love Chief as much as I do. Adopting me means adopting a duo, a pair of loyal friends who will shower you with love and gratitude. Will you be our forever family?
