Buddy is an absolute gem who is eager to please his person! He loves learning new tricks and having his brain worked, whether it's a 15-minute training session or a puzzle toy he has to figure out himself and trust me he will! He LOVES playing outside in the pool or chasing around the sprinkler stream and also enjoys long hikes through the woods. Buddy is a very active boy who would do best with a yard to run or a lake to swim in. Are you ready for a companion to keep you on your toes? - 1 year 11 months - 57lbs fully grown - Needs a training plan - Good with dogs/cats/farm animals - Good with kids 16+ - Adoption fee: $175 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

I am moving out of state from a big house to a small apartment, and so I need to rehome my beloved Bella. Her special need is a fenced yard or property where she can run free and not always be on a leash.

Chuck came to live with us as a puppy. I found a Craigslist ad for ACD puppies and we chose him from the litter. He is currently 5 and his birthday is in June. He is a very sweet dog but like most ACDs, can be very stubborn. The problem is that I was involved in a very serious car accident and as a result of my injuries have to take blood thinners the rest of my life. Chuck is very high energy and loves being a lap dog despite weighing 55lbs. I am often covered in bruises and this week I developed a large hematoma on my stomach which can be life threatening for someone on blood thinners. As difficult as it is, he’s just too much dog and for my safety he needs a new home. It would be nice if he could go to a home with some property for him to run but it’s not critical. Just a home where he’s loved and taken care of.

Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don't know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small! Sugar Bear's family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animal shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home. Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children. Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. Cabbage is an intelligent (like so smart), spunky, loving pup that has a lot of energy. She enjoys snuggles, playing fetch, belly rubs, and tearing apart her favorite toys. Cabbage is up to date on all shots and still needs to be spayed. Cabbage needs to be the only dog in the home as she has resource guarding tendencies. Cabbage still has some accidents overnight and needs to go out every couple of hours during the day. She is good at going to the door and letting you know when she needs to potty and knows how to use a dog door if that is an option. She has some separation anxiety and would be a good fit for someone who works from home or lives with multiple people so she doesn’t have to be left alone too often.

Harley is 4 months old, he's really sweet and playful and needs rehoming asap. He's almost fully housebroken and good with other pets, and would make a great family dog. He loves playing ball and and sleeping by the window. We need to find him somewhere soon because our German shepherd has had to stay with family due to stress. He is really a really good puppy but we just miss our dog weve had for 3 years, all were looking for in his new home is that hell have a yard.
