We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Story
We are torn about what to do with our dog, Jake. He isn't getting along with our other male dog. We sadly need to rehome him. We hate the thought of giving him up but its not safe for him or our other dog while they're in the same house. Jake is very sweet and playful. He does good with cats. Please let me know if you can adopt him or know someone who is looking to adopt. Thank you! 😭 Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Size: Medium but on the smaller end Age: 3 years old He is neutered and up to date on shots. Needs to be the only dog in the house.

Story
Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don't know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small! Sugar Bear's family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animal shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home. Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children. Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. She is a very smart girl and listens very well when you call her name. She would make a great agility dog! If interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.

Story
In the spring of 2023, we got a call about 4 dogs who were in bad shape and living in the woods a couple of hours from me. We set traps and were able to rescue 2 of the 4. We tried and tried to get the other 2, but we were unable to do so. Some of the local people continued to try to get them, as well, but couldn’t. I am still very sad about having to leave them behind. Chester and Chloe were near death when we rescued them. They were starving, their skin was horrible, and of course, they had every known parasite. They are healthy now. Chloe is still very shy, and I feel that she needs a special home with a lot of love, patience and attention! We do not see any aggression in her. She has been at Blue Ribbon Kennels now for 14 months and needs a forever and loving home so badly. She has never had the opportunity to live inside a house and to be part of a family. Chloe is in Mississippi. When adopted, she will come fully vetted and will be transported by Rescue Riders, a very reliable transporter. All of this is included in her adoption fee.

Story
These two are a fabulous pair of mini-Aussie cattle dogs s and they deserve a wonderful home to make up for their early life. Their original family got them as a gift for a 10-year-old who wasn't at all interested. They are 6-7 years old and until they came into rescue, they never even had names! Despite being ignored and shouted at, they are sweet boys, and they have great dog manners. They are calm, loving, and so grateful for any love and attention. They adore their new toys and were ecstatic when a friend came by with kids. They are housebroken, great with both big and small dogs and have ignored the cats completely. We have given them all their shots, had them neutered and chipped and they are ready to go to their forever home! We believe that they will be good together or separate but if you would like to take both, we will discount the adoption fees to $500 for both.
