Meet Sartorius, affectionately known as Torri! He is a 6-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been a beloved member of our family since he was 12 weeks old. Torri is up to date on all his medical care, vaccines, and is neutered. Torri is a high-energy dog who thrives in an active environment. He loves playing frisbee and going on hikes, and he will happily cuddle up after a day of fun. While Torri is friendly and loving, he can become anxious in unpredictable situations and does not do well with children or larger dogs. However, he loves smaller dogs and would do well in a home where he is either the only dog or has companions that are smaller than him. We are rehoming Torri because we are planning to start a family, and we believe he would be happiest with an owner who can provide him with the active lifestyle he craves and a stable environment. Cabbage is an intelligent (like so smart), spunky, loving pup that has a lot of energy. She enjoys snuggles, playing fetch, belly rubs, and tearing apart her favorite toys. Cabbage is up to date on all shots and still needs to be spayed. Cabbage needs to be the only dog in the home as she has resource guarding tendencies. Cabbage still has some accidents overnight and needs to go out every couple of hours during the day. She is good at going to the door and letting you know when she needs to potty and knows how to use a dog door if that is an option. She has some separation anxiety and would be a good fit for someone who works from home or lives with multiple people so she doesn’t have to be left alone too often.

Chuck came to live with us as a puppy. I found a Craigslist ad for ACD puppies and we chose him from the litter. He is currently 5 and his birthday is in June. He is a very sweet dog but like most ACDs, can be very stubborn. The problem is that I was involved in a very serious car accident and as a result of my injuries have to take blood thinners the rest of my life. Chuck is very high energy and loves being a lap dog despite weighing 55lbs. I am often covered in bruises and this week I developed a large hematoma on my stomach which can be life threatening for someone on blood thinners. As difficult as it is, he’s just too much dog and for my safety he needs a new home. It would be nice if he could go to a home with some property for him to run but it’s not critical. Just a home where he’s loved and taken care of.
