Story
Hi, my name is Boone and I am a quiet, goofy, and athletic boy! I am almost 2 years old and 36 lbs of love. I love car rides, long walks, pup cups, and playing with doggy friends. I was rescued from Texas 10 months ago and am so happy to be living in Massachusetts because I love pooping in leaves in fall and playing in the snow in winter! My moms say I'm the bestest and sweetest boy, but I'm too intense with my kitty brothers. It's not my fault they're so fun to mess with! I am fully house-trained and know to ring bells when I need to go out. I don't like the crate except for bedtime as long as I'm in the same room as my humans. I am a shy, sensitive boy and will need to go slow with new people. The best home for me would have a fenced-in yard and include a playful doggy sibling, or two, or maybe even more! I love to play, wrestle, and run around with my dog friends at daycare and at my grandma's house. I hope you can consider being my forever home!

Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: Yes, 13+Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesGrizzly James is a really good boy who loves to snuggle and hang out with his humans. In fact, he thinks he is a lapdog despite his size!Grizzly James has yet to meet a toy he doesn’t like, but he is an expert at surgically deconstructing stuffed toys, so he is better suited for tougher toys like bones, Kongs, rubber rings, etc. When he is not entertaining himself with toys he likes to make very silly noises to get your attention and remind you that he is nearby in case you have the sudden urge to give him belly rubs.Grizzly James is extremely smart and considers himself to be a mischievous mastermind. His fosters have noted he sometimes buries his food bowl under his blanket to try and fool his humans into thinking he hasn’t received dinner yet and should be fed again. He is a lovable goofball and is looking for someone that will enjoy his antics!Grizzly James is crate trained and house trained. He also knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and is currently working on mastering ‘down’. He loves car rides and will try to rest his snoot on your shoulder despite being in the backseat and buckled into his car harness.Grizzly James has shown lots of improvement when walking on a leash over the last few months. He is not a ‘puller’, but will try to chase after cars (or those pesky squirrels) from time to time and uses all his body weight to lunge into the move. He is deceptively strong for such a compact fellow, so a firm hand on the leash is a must when waddling him about town. His current foster walks him on a transitional lead and has found this to be a key to success when walking him on a leash.Grizzly James is so excited to find his forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: MostlyPep is a chill, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who’s ready to go on your next adventure! He is doing great being fostered with another dog and cat in the home and has fit in well with the pack. Pep would likely do well in nearly any home ready to give him all the love.He is a medium-energy pup who loves to stroll around the pond or hop in the car but is perfectly content to chill on the couch nearby. Pep gets along well with other pups and would do just fine with a canine sibling. He has interacted well and is respectful of cats’ boundaries, so he would do well with or without a cat in the home. His gentle disposition would likely do fine with kids in the home.Pep is smart and eager to please. He is crate trained and mostly potty-trained. He is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. Pep has had minimal accidents north and will continue to master potty training with time and patience. He is working on his leash manners and loves to explore the world with his nose, so he would benefit from an owner excited to continue his training as he navigates his new environment.Pep is an all-around great pup with an easy-going temperament- are you ready to call him family? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: YesCrate trained: Mostly House Trained: Mostly Sissy Jackson is a precious girl with so much love to give! She loves having her tennis ball nearby and playing fetch with her humans. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and would love to be your friend! She loves playing with other dogs and has done great so far with pups her size and smaller. Her Arkansas foster home had many cats and while she was initially a little scared of them, she has gotten used to them and would do fine in a home with cat siblings. She loves kids, especially ones who will throw the ball for her! So far she has met kids 18 months and up. Sissy sleeps overnight in her crate after a few minutes of settling in but has not been crated during the workday. She has been excelling with her house training, only having a few accidents early on while she was still learning the routine of a new home. She should get to 100% in no time once she settles into a schedule in her forever home.  She is medium energy and would do well with a few walks a day or some playtime with other pups. Could this sweet, petite girl be the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. Cali is available to meet by appointment. Submit an application at CapeAnnAnimalAid.org/Adopt and an Adoption Counselor will reach out to you.Meet Cali, the perfect 1 year old 10 month old cattle dog mix ready to steal your heart! Cali is not only the ideal size at around 55 pounds, but she also has an impressive set of skills. She`s a smart pup who learns quickly and walks like a pro on a leash. If you`re planning a road trip, Cali is your ideal travel buddy as she enjoys car rides and handles them with ease. Cali`s adventurous spirit shines when it comes to water activities. She absolutely adores the beach and is always up for a splash and some sandy fun. This fun-loving girl is always up for an active lifestyle and enjoys going for walks to explore the world around her. Cali is the perfect blend of energy and serenity. Once she has gotten her energy out with a good walk or play session, she will happily relax by your side while you watch TV or scroll through your phone. With her loving and affectionate nature, Cali deserves a forever home filled with love and care. She`s a delightful companion who will bring endless joy and companionship to her new family. We feel Cali would thrive in a dog experienced home as the only pet without children under 12 due to her occasional mouthy play style and herding tendencies, which is quite typical of her breed mix. Cali is a part of our Extended Stay Program so her adoption fee is reduced and she is also available for Foster to Adopt to ensure a smooth transition to her forever home! Don`t miss the opportunity to welcome Cali into your life and experience the unconditional love and happiness she brings.
