Story
Meet LooLoo, a brave little 35-pound cattle dog mix with a true survivor’s spirit! This spunky girl was just minding her business in her yard at a rooming house in Memphis when, in an unfortunate incident, police responding to a call mistook her protective barking for aggression. Without provocation, she was tragically shot in the leg. Fortunately, her owner surrendered her, ensuring she could receive urgent medical attention and a chance at a much brighter future.Despite her injury and eventual amputation, LooLoo hasn’t let it dampen her zest for life. She’s still recovering from surgery, but her resilient spirit shines through, and we hope to fit her with a prosthetic once she's fully healed. PAWS New England will be covering her journey to find mobility and comfort.LooLoo is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with children over 12, as she hasn’t yet been tested with younger kids. She’s ready for a fresh start, a loving home, and the chance to show just how much joy she can bring. Let’s give this courageous girl the life she deserves!Name: LooLooBreed: Cattle DogSex: FemaleAge: 2-3 years (estimated)Weight: 35Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Memphis TN IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
