In fact, he thinks he is a lapdog despite his size!Grizzly James has yet to meet a toy he doesn’t like, but he is an expert at surgically deconstructing stuffed toys, so he is better suited for tougher toys like bones, Kongs, rubber rings, etc. When he is not entertaining himself with toys he likes to make very silly noises to get your attention and remind you that he is nearby in case you have the sudden urge to give him belly rubs.Grizzly James is extremely smart and considers himself to be a mischievous mastermind. His fosters have noted he sometimes buries his food bowl under his blanket to try and fool his humans into thinking he hasn’t received dinner yet and should be fed again. He is a lovable goofball and is looking for someone that will enjoy his antics!Grizzly James is crate trained and house trained. He also knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and is currently working on mastering ‘down’. He loves car rides and will try to rest his snoot on your shoulder despite being in the backseat and buckled into his car harness.Grizzly James has shown lots of improvement when walking on a leash over the last few months. He is not a ‘puller’, but will try to chase after cars (or those pesky squirrels) from time to time and uses all his body weight to lunge into the move. He is deceptively strong for such a compact fellow, so a firm hand on the leash is a must when waddling him about town. His current foster walks him on a transitional lead and has found this to be a key to success when walking him on a leash.Grizzly James is so excited to find his forever family! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.November 4, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Hi, my name is Boone and I am a quiet, goofy, and athletic boy! I am almost 2 years old and 36 lbs of love. I love car rides, long walks, pup cups, and playing with doggy friends. I was rescued from Texas 10 months ago and am so happy to be living in Massachusetts because I love pooping in leaves in fall and playing in the snow in winter! My moms say I'm the bestest and sweetest boy, but I'm too intense with my kitty brothers. It's not my fault they're so fun to mess with! I am fully house-trained and know to ring bells when I need to go out. I don't like the crate except for bedtime as long as I'm in the same room as my humans. I am a shy, sensitive boy and will need to go slow with new people. The best home for me would have a fenced-in yard and include a playful doggy sibling, or two, or maybe even more! I love to play, wrestle, and run around with my dog friends at daycare and at my grandma's house. I hope you can consider being my forever home!

A joggers dream dog - Meet Oreo Cookie   This petite 25 lb sweet cattle dog will be your instant best friend. At approximately 2 years old, she would make a great adventure buddy. The best part is that after a nice jog, she loves to finish the day on the couch with some cuddles.  Oreo has been fostered amongst many different puppies & has been a great big sister! She even shares her toys with the little ones and gets down on the ground to play with them Oreo is an intelligent gal that will continue to thrive with someone that loves herding breeds. Like many cattle dogs, she is very in tune to her person, so a confident owner would be great. She’d be a fun match for someone looking to do dog sports too! Story
Pringles is a senior pup looking for a quiet home to enjoying naps on the couch and slow walks to enjoy the outdoors. He is a shy boy that opens up after some time. Pringles usually finds himself connecting with a special person in his life. He is shy around other dogs and not much of a dog park kind of dog. Just too much for him and prefers the company of his favorite people. He is completely house trained, in good health, with all of his shots up to date, along with recent dental care at the vet. He is very food motivated, and loves pets and belly rubs. He can still move around well though his joints are showing age. Losing a few more pounds would certainly help that. So if you are looking for a kind older pup that loves to go on nice slow walks, of course car rides, and lounging on the couch with his forever family, Pringles is the dog for you!
