Story
LOVES KIDS DOGS AND EVEN CATS!!! Hi!!! My name is Lolly and I am about 4 months old, heeler border collie mix and already have a whole story to tell. I am expected to be 20-25 pounds full grown. Saved from a very high kill shelter when I was 3 months old after being there for a MONTH! Vet exam revealed a heart condition (PDA) and had surgery right away. I would not have lived more than a few months without it. I have had a complete recovery and am just a normal, VERY fun, friendly lovable puppy. I love other dogs, cats. But what I really LOVE is kids. I walk well on a leash and just love to stay really close to you. Thank you for choosing rescue. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BY EMAIL OR PHONE TO TELL US YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LOLLY. We are all volunteers and we cannot move forward without your application. If you would like to be considered to adopt her go to our website and fill out an application. www.sunnypawsrescue.org. Be sure you receive a confirmation email after submission and someone will be in touch promptly.

Story
Meet Indie!   Indie is a super sweet and lovable 3.5-year-old girl, weighing around 44 lbs. She absolutely thrives on attention and being with people. Indie is a true survivor with a heart of gold.   When we found her, she was living on the side of a busy highway with a few canine friends, surviving on trash and a deer carcass. While her friends were too fearful to approach, Indie’s gentle and trusting nature shone through—she came straight up to us, allowed us to leash her, and walked calmly to safety.   We believe Indie was abandoned by people who moved away, but she hasn’t let that dim her bright and loving spirit. Since then, she’s come a long way, mastering leash-walking with lots of practice and proving to be a quick learner.   Indie is dog-door trained and may need a little time to adjust to a new routine, including potty breaks, as she settles into her forever home. With patience and love, she’ll quickly adapt and show you just how amazing she is.   Indie would make an incredible companion and a sweet addition to the perfect home. If you’re ready to give this wonderful girl the loving family she deserves, apply today!   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Story
Our hearts are breaking for poor Louie. His owner died and he is stuck in boarding. Not many people have a rescue heart for older dogs which breaks our hearts! Let us tell you about Louie and maybe he will be right for you! Louie is about 11 years old young and is a neutered male. When his owner passed away Louie and his other furry friend went into boarding. Since his companion was a small dog, he easily got adopted. Although Louie isn't a big dog, he is more on the lines of 50 pounds Louie is super friendly as you can tell by his pictures. It's hard to get a good picture of him as he is all smiles! He has a refreshing amount of energy for his age but not over the top. Louie loves attention and will let you know when he is running empty of it. He is very vocal when he wants attention. He has been staying at the vet so is healthy and up to date on all vaccines. Louie loves to follow you everywhere you go and will make you feel so special. He is just an amazing boy. He has been great with other dogs and seems to especially love smaller dogs. When his owner was alive he lived in a house with 3 other smaller dogs and was their best buddy! We hope you will consider adding him to your family! The best way to begin any adoption is to directly email Storkwoods@comcast.net. Louie is in Middle TN but we do have transport available.

Story
Hello, My name is Red. I have two brothers available for adoption, Huck & Finn. Our brother Sammy has been adopted. Our lives began being homeless with our human parents. We (our mom, dad, and siblings) lived in the back seat of a car. This is where we were born. Our human mom worked at Waffle House. Our foster mom went into the WH for breakfast one day and started talking to her waitress about dogs. That began everything. Once our foster mom found out we were living in the backseat of the car, she started pursuing us babies, coming into rescue to get the type of homes we so deserve. So, here we are. I am incredibly handsome, neutered, leash-trained, and house-trained. I love to give hugs and get them, too. My ideal home is one where the family knows heeler herds, loves to go for walks and hikes and is active but enjoys quiet time in front of a fireplace. I am ready to come home. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. When you receive it, complete it thoroughly, including the email addresses of your three references.
