Story
Say hello to Sadie, an adorable cattle dog mix who is bursting with energy! This sweet girl is not just a pretty face-she’s smart, eager to learn, and thrives on training sessions. Whether it’s mastering new tricks or enjoying some outdoor adventures, Sadie is always ready for fun! Sadie is a bit of a diva when it comes to her doggy pals, so she’d prefer to be your one and only furry companion. She could potentially fit in with a family that has kids, and would love an active household where she has plenty of outlets for her energy and brain power! If you think Sadie could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 1pm-4pm – no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Meet Tesla! One of the smartest and snuggliest boys you'll ever meet. Tesla currently lives with two dogs in his foster home and loves to play all day and take naps with them. Over the last few weeks he's learned a lot from observing his foster siblings and has seamlessly fallen into their routine.   Tesla is just about potty trained but needs to go outside every 2-3 hours while out of his crate. He has no problem holding it while in his crate or overnight. He's been working hard at his leash training and is such a quick learner and very food driven! He loves people and likes to jump up to "give hugs" and kiss your face. His foster family is trying to work on him being less jumpy when he's excited but he just can't help wanting to love on you!  Tesla loves to chew toys and bones and has no problem sharing with his foster siblings. He does play a little rough but is only a puppy and needs to get his energy out! He responds well to being corrected by his foster sister if the play is too much. Tesla would love to grow up in home with a backyard where he can run around with a family who can appreciate his cuddly nature. Tesla and his sister Mercedes were rescued from a neglectful situation by a kind volunteer (they were kept in kennels outdoors and the “owners” would not get them inside during a storm). Tesla is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you). To adopt or learn more about: you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
