Story
Meet Dingo, our spirited 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a big personality packed into her 29-pound frame! True to her breed, Dingo has a good amount of energy, but with regular walks and mental stimulation, she’s happy to relax. Her vibrant red coat reflects her lively spirit, making her a wonderful companion for a household that enjoys a mix of activity and downtime.Dingo absolutely loves a good game of fetch, which tires her out quickly and leaves her ready for some snuggle time. Dingo is incredibly smart, always ready for a challenge, and eager to learn. She is already housetrianed, knows some commands, and has leash manners! Dingo's previous owner mentioned that she really enjoyed the company of children. She does have a strong prey drive, so she’ll need a home without small animals. While her ideal home is one without other canine companions, who needs another dog when Dingo has so much love to give? She’s a cuddle bug at heart, showering her humans with affection and attention! If you’re an active person or family looking for a smart, loyal, and affectionate companion, Dingo might be the perfect match for you! If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: acskc.org/adoption/adoption-applicationOnce your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! Story
Tex is a 4.5 year old mixed breed originally from Arizona. He’s traveled to a few states since then as well! He has a loud bark that could frighten people, but he just wants love in his life. He loves adults, snuggles, and food. We are looking to rehome him because he’s not comfortable around young children and we have multiple, however (he has never been overtly aggressive with them, but is obviously uncomfortable, even after a few years). I also don’t recommend a family with multiple dogs unless you have experience in navigating that. He has one brother dog at home and does well with him, but he’s not exactly friendly with stranger dogs. With those two flaws, he really is a sweetie needing a forever home who can walk him, snuggle him at night, and give him more attention than we are able to. He is very food motivated and easily trainable. He jumps on guests, but knows sit, lay down, go to his bed, etc. Just looking for a loving forever home!

Story
Ollie is a truly solid companion pup. He's loyal to his chosen person and will want to be around them, either curled at their feet or next to them on a couch. He isn't much of a traditional cuddler though- unless he's super sleepy. The pup's been trained on an e-collar, has a bark collar, knows all basic commands, and knows some tricks as well. He'll need a family where he can sleep next to them at night and he would benefit from either being able to run in a fenced-in yard or taken out twice daily for mile-long walks. For backstory, I'm looking for a new home for the pup because of a few reasons, primarily my fiancée found out he's allergic to dogs. I also think Ollie could use more attention than what he's getting currently. When I was alone and needed a companion, Ollie really was a blessing, and in return, I hope to find him a great forever home. Who knows, that could be you!

Story
Are you looking for a dog who is high energy in the streets but a cuddle bug in the sheets? Meet Chance! Chance is a two-year old mixed breed dog. Chance used to live with four border collies and a couple of cats until his owner suddenly died. His purebred border collie siblings all found homes immediately, but Chance the mutt is still waiting for his forever home. Your guess on his breed mix is as good as mine, but he looks like he's part cattle dog and part shepherd, plus a bunch of other stuff. Chance loves other dogs. He loves to play chase (he is FAST) and enjoys a good round of gentle wrestling. He does well adapting his play style to his companion and shows good play manners (save for the occasional hump attempt). Chance is also easygoing around cats. He lived successfully with cats in his previous home, and in his foster home he has shown gentle interest in the resident cats from a self-imposed distance. Meet this wiggle-butt sweetheart and fall in love!

Story
Foxy is a spayed female Australian Cattle Dog mix born about January 2024. She and her sister were roaming around country roads until their foster home took them in to help them get ready for their forever homes. Foxy weighs about 32 pounds, and might fill out a bit more, but will easily fit into your lap for belly rubs, which she loves. She is learning to sit, stay, and come, and is working hard on her potty training. She should be all set when she goes to her new home. She sleeps in her crate at night with all of her toys, and bounces around with other dogs and cats at her foster home. While still a puppy and might jump until taught not to, she is kid friendly.
