Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Story
Mac is a sweet boy who knows what he wants! He does love to chase and play with animals smaller than him. Due to this we suggest that he does not go home to a family that has cats or things like chickens. Squirrels watch out! This little guy can move! Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go. He is housebroken and does just fine in a crate! If he sounds like the boy for you then don't wait! In a world of fur and joy, there's a Heeler named Brownie, oh so coy, With fur as red as autumn leaves, he's the cleverest of canine thieves. At two, he's full of boundless glee, a furry friend for you and me. Smart as a whip, this Heeler boy, his heart's a treasure, a boundless joy. In tricks and flips, he finds delight, learning with all his canine might. Two years old, his spirit free, a loyal friend, he longs to be. Attuned to you, his person dear, his love's a bond that's crystal clear. Bestest friend, he aims to be, beside you through eternity. Fetch and roll, and sit and stay, he'll dance and prance, bright as the day. With every bark, a tale he'll weave, of loyalty that won't deceive. He dreams of walks and treats galore, his heart, your love, forevermore. Brownie, the Heeler, red and bright, a canine star, a pure delight. In fields of green and skies so blue, he'll be the bestest friend to you. Brownie has the desire to be with his person and would make a great and loving support dog or full time companion. Story
Meet Phineas! Phineas is a very energetic medium-sized pup. He was previously adopted from God's Dogs when he was 3 months old, but recently returned through no fault of his own. Phineas is a goofy guy: he smiles & makes "air chomps, when he is happy or while playing with a canine buddy. He is also a water baby! He loves jumping into the baby swimming pool & attempting to dig out the water in between breaks for zoomies & wrestling. Because of confidence issues and a high play drive, he must have a canine companion. He is crate trained, and requires crating for meals & high-value treats. With his great looks, sweet/derpy demeanor, and love for people of all ages, dogs, & cats, Phineas is a great addition for an active household! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Intake date 13 July 2024 . 2ish year old, black tri neutered male aussie, intake weight 45lbs . Brock has been with us for a week or so, and while he has a lovely temperament, he is shy to the extreme. He will need folks who will put time into building trust, utilizing a leash and longline, and time. Brock loves other dogs, and will need some friendly pups in his new home. He is unknown with cats, though he had the opportunity to chase and he ignored. He reminds me quite a bit of an aussie we had here a couple of years ago, who has turned into the loveliest companion for his adopter. Sometimes the roughest edges take a little bit of sanding to show the beauty hiding. . Brock is crate trained and walks well on leash. Anyone interested in adopting Brock should be prepared to take him to classes and provide lots of passive socialization. . This dog is located in Maryland - we do not ship or transport dogs. For information on adoption, an FAQ, and our application, please see our website at mabcr.org. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an application, complete with documentation. . Dogs that have not lived previously with children will not be offered to homes where young children reside. We do not `test` dogs with children or cats, since testing here will not show an accurate picture, and may give potential adopters false comfort. If a dog has lived with children or cats, that will be stated above. We do not place dogs as ESA, nor will we place a dog as hypo-allergenic. Applicants interested in adoption of a potential service dog must be working with an experienced trainer. . Please note that some young dogs may be placed with an alter deposit and contract, and any available dog of any age may be placed with a training deposit and contract -- this would be noted on offer, prior to placement. For additional information on these policies, please see our website. . Questions about dogs are generally not answered here due to lack of staffing. All available dogs may not be listed on our website due to time constraints and does not effect a specific dog`s availability. Additional information and photos will be posted here as time permits.

Story
Intake date 24 October 2024 2020 female red merle aussie, weight 35-40 lbs . Lyla is a very sweet girl who came to rescue because she no longer enjoys the company of small children in her home. After rearing a litter of puppies, she no longer tolerated the children`s shenanigans and was giving warning signals. The family decided to rehome her before any kids pushed things too far. For this reason she will not be placed in a home with young kids. She is great with adults, dogs, and has met the resident barn cats without issue. . Lyla does appear to have some basic obedience training but any new family should be prepared to work her brain and body as she is still a young Aussie. . This dog is located in Maryland - we do not ship or transport dogs. For information on adoption, an FAQ, and our application, please see our website at mabcr.org. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an application, complete with documentation. .
