Story
It is baffling, but Tut has been waiting for his home for too long. Tut is a handsome 1-year, 5-month-old Cattle Dog mix, who loves people and other dogs. He weighs about 65 pounds. Tut would probably chase a cat, and he can be a little rough with stuffed toys, but other than that, friendly Tut would be a great addition to an active household. He is more gentle with smaller dogs and lets the other dog he is playing with decide the level of play. His sister Christy got adopted to first-time dog owners, and she is doing great. Tut is hoping that he can find his forever family - and soon! If you are interested in meeting Tut, please go to the HSOC website and fill out an application.

Meet Boots! Boots is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a striking set of "boots"! If you're looking for the perfect companion, you can choose your adventure with Boots! He is ready for the coffee run and pup cup car ride, a stroll in the park, zoomies in the yard, and being your cozy companion at home. He is inquisitive, enjoys people and giving kisses. Boots is a simple dog, with simple needs. At his age and maturity level, he does not need to be entertained or exercised all day. He does not need an active family or other dogs to play with. He is not a groupie, he just needs his "person", his BFF. A graduate of the Paws Behind Bars program, Boots was awarded the highest praise for his learning. All the volunteers rave how sweet Boots is and now he is ready for you! If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Boot's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!

Story
LENNOX is a 2 year old, female cattle dog mix. She weighs 39 lbs. She was originally adopted out as a puppy and came back when she hit her "terrible teens". She is a confident dog and needed a steady, unwavering hand to guide her through. She was immediately enrolled in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, the rules are the rules and slowly, but surely, Lennox started to fall into line. Cattle dogs are a very task driven breed and obedience training was actually what she needed. She also polished up her social skills. Getting along nicely with other dogs was a struggle. We are happy to report, she has graduated from the program and is living happily in her foster home, with her BFF canine friend also. Her "perfect fit" home will be an active one with older children. (cattle dogs will always want to herd). If there is another dog, a male would be preferred. A fenced in yard is a must so she can get the proper amount of exercise. She loves people and thrives on obedience and structure. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Lennox's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!
