Story
Priscilla is a year and a half old Australian Cattle dog mix who was brought in by the city of Iola as a stray. When she first came in she was a little shy, but since being here she`s blossomed into the most goofiest girl. She loves every dog she meets and every kid, especially babies. The only thing she doesn`t like are cats, unless they`re stuffed. When going on walks she gets extremely excited so we`ve noticed she doesn`t pull as much when wearing a harness. With being a younger dog she`s very active and would love a family of her own to go on adventures. She is partially housebroken, but she`s smart and a fast learner so with a schedule we`re confident she would be. Priscilla`s adoption fee is $100 which includes her spay, up to date on shots, deworming, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, and a microchip.

Story
Keeley Jones is by far one of the sweetest dogs you`ll ever meet. She loves every dog she meets and will outplay them any day, kids are also her favorite. For being so young and the amount of energy she has she`s surprisingly calm around kids. With that being said she does calm down and enjoys snuggling up on the couch. She loves to be their little shadow and would love to protect a family of her own. Like most Hearding breeds she unfortunately is not good with cats and would do best in a home without them. She`s eager to learn and will do just about anything for a treat. Belly rubs are by far her favorite, but as long as you`re giving her attention she doesn`t care. Pools are one of her favorite things about summer and she loves playing tag with her friends as she hops in and out like a bunny. She is housebroken and walks great on a leash, she also is good at recalling from her outside pen to inside. Keeley Jones`s adoption fee is $100 which includes her spay, up to date on shots, deworming, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, and a microchip.

Story
Ricardo – This silly fluffy boy was brought in as a stray by the city of Iola and we’re slowly learning his special little quirks. He’s always excited to see you even though he may act shy, when acting shy, he’ll grin up at you and slouch down and wiggle his little nub tail at you. He’s great with kids of all ages and gets along with most dogs, but we always suggest a meet and greet just to make sure they’ll get along. We aren’t confident that he would do good being in a home with cats just because when meeting one he got kind of stiff and acted like he wanted to chase/herd it. He walks like a perfect gentleman and is housebroken and doesn’t like a messy pen. When he’s not playing with friends he loves splashing in the pools on a hot day. Ricardo’s adoption fee is $100 which includes his neuter, up to date on shots, deworming, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, and a microchip.

Story
Brandi is an absolute sweetheart and from the moment you meet her she’ll instantly become your best friend. There’s nothing this sweet little angel doesn’t like from other dogs to cats and kids of all ages. Babies are her absolute favorite, and she’d give them kisses all day if you’d let her. Brandi loves making new friends here at the shelter so bad that sometimes she’ll stand or sit in front of a dog`s pen to see if you’ll let them out with her. She recalls like a pro and even though she doesn`t know any tricks right now she is eager to learn and please. Neck scratches are a must especially under the collar as well as cuddles on the couch. Some of her special quirks are when she’s excited to see you she’ll squint her eyes and smile so cheesy its almost grinch like. Blankets are treasurable to her so much that she often barrows from her neighbors for that extra comfort. This 56 lbs. submissive little wiggle but thinks she’s a 10 lbs. chihuahua. What we mean by with is she likes to jump up into chairs and loves giving hugs (but listens when told down). Walking well on a leash and being housebroken are also some great factors about Brandi.

Story
Claudine is a big puppy who needs a little work on boundaries. She was brought in by someone off our waiting list at no fault of her own, not understanding the breed since she`s a heeler mix. She is good with kids and dogs but does not like cats. She does listen when recalling and good on a leash. Claudine is housebroken and just the sweetest girl, so that if she does jump up on you, she tries to be gentle about it or will just tag you with her body. Claudine is waiting for a family that will give her all the attention and love she so desperately deserves.

Story
Orpheus is a big gentle souled boy who like his brother Ivar is timid when you first meet him but is warming up quickly. Orpheus just wants someone to cuddle with on the couch and make sure he feels safe. He really wants a family of his own. Orpheus is partially housebroken meaning with a schedule he would learn fast. Orpheus is still learning what a leash is but is catching on quickly. He is good with other dogs, cats, and would love a place to call home.
