Introducing Pete! Although we are just getting to know Pete and his siblings; Delmar, Big Dan and Everett, we know Pete has lots of puppy energy and is a social guy who loves to eat, poop and play, which is accurate with his age. If you are looking for a guy with amazing puppy energy and sweetness, Pete is ready to bring lifelong love, happiness and enjoyment to your family and will grow up to be the most beautiful boy! Name: Pete Breed: Mixed Breed Sex: Male Age: DOB 8/25/24 Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced or can wait until post neuter for pickup Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter. Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age) Housetrained: Too young Microchipped: Not yet Adoption Fee/Donation: $300 Important!! Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.

Meet Apollo! Apollo is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix. If you're looking for the perfect companion, you can choose any adventure you want with this dog. He loves the car so pick a park, pick a kayak, pick a trail - He's ready to go. At home, he's good for zoomies in the yard or settling down for cozies on the couch. He might look a little serious, but he's very affectionate. He's a straightforward dog with simple needs. At his age and maturity level, he does not need to be entertained or exercised all day. He is not a groupie, he just needs his "person", his BFF. Apollo requires a physically fenced in yard and a home without other animals. A graduate of the Paws Behind Bars program, Apollo was awarded the highest praise for his learning. All the volunteers rave how sweet Apollo is and now he is ready for you! If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Apollos picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach.

Meet Beethoven! He was born on 12/17/21. He is a purebred ACD and is registered with the North American Purebred Registry. He is completely deaf (confirmed by our vet). He is UTD on vaccinations as well. He is a sweet boy, aims to please and loves to be loved. He does not get along with other male dogs! We are unsure if he likes cats (we do not have any). He needs a home with property where he can run and to live his best life. Please help us find his forever home.

Story
Meet Kodiak! This adorable pup was born in an abandoned house with her siblings, where their mom, a cattle dog mix, had found shelter. Local factory workers discovered the situation and followed their mom to ensure the puppies were safe. Thanks to their quick and compassionate actions, the puppies were rescued and brought into care, where they have since thrived. Now, these playful pups are ready to find their forever homes. While their mom is a cattle dog mix, the identity of their dad is unknown. These puppies are full of energy but will happily snuggle up for love and attention when they’re not playing. We expect her to be a medium size at full maturity. If you’re interested in adopting, the first step is to submit our online application at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. If you’ve already submitted an application within the last six months, feel free to email us for an update. We review applications and schedule meet-and-greets (with approved applicants only) in the order they are received. Please keep in mind that Kodiak is young puppy with a life expectancy of up to 15 years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to find the right fit for both the dog and the family, ensuring a commitment to Kodiak for life.
