Story
Alluka is very sweet and likes to be pet and shown a lot of love. Adopters just need to beware that she will need time to get used to them as she gets very anxious around people she does not know, especially men. I want her to be rehomed to a family that has a yard where she can run around and play with her new family members!

Story
We adopted Lucy 7/2021 from a local pet shelter. Her estimated age at the time was 3mos. We had her trained at a 2 week boarding program. She knows all the commands but is stubborn and only listen when she wants to. She is very loving toward my daughter and myself but appears to fear men, specifically my husband, who was the one who adopted her. Her behavior toward him has increasingly worsened. She can also be reactive to other animals, people and sometime bikes when we are out on walks and jogs. We have had other trainers work with her but still reactive to my husband and randomly reactive to others. She is a working dog without a job. She needs to run, enjoys being outside but we don’t have a fenced yard. Being inside appears to make her more anxious. The vet suggested medications to calm her but this hasn’t improved within the household. She is playful, eats like a cat, and loves to fetch. She has run up to 7 miles with me so she is capable of distance exercise.

Story
Oreo is the sweetest little guy. He's great with kids, and great without kids. We have an autistic daughter who can be a little louder at times and Oreo has never had an issue with her. He's also great around other animals. He loves to play with his toys and LOVES walks. The only reason that we are re homing Oreo is because we are having a hard time affording his care. My husband recently lost his job due to company closing and we decided that we just cannot afford the cost of his shots, food and other care at this time. He really is a great family dog and has a great heart! Please let know if you are interested! Thank you!

Story
Hi there, I`m Camilla. I am a sweet angel who is ready to find her fur-ever home! I am a herding breed, so any potential adopter should keep this in mind, though I am an older gal. It`s always good to research herding dogs to know what to expect when we go home together! My friends here at IndyHumane say I am a super sweet girl! I`m good on walks and basically the perfect dog! Come on in to see if we`ll be the paw-fect match!*My adoption fee is waived thanks to a generous sponsorship from 317 Plumber, as I`ve been waiting for my forever home for 100 days.*

Story
Get ready to fall for Florence - because this girl is jumping at the chance to steal your heart! I`m a bundle of sweetness with a playful bounce in my step, always ready to greet the world with enthusiasm (sometimes a little too much - oops!). But don`t worry, with a little training, I`ll have my manners as polished as my personality. At first, I can be a little shy, but give me a moment, and I`ll be your biggest fan. I love people, and I`m nervous at first with other dogs but can be gentle as I get out of my shell, making me the perfect companion for a home full of love. So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a pup who`s got just the right amount of pep in her step? Because I promise, life with me will always be exciting!

Story
8 year old Blue Heeler/Boston Terrier mix. Very smart and sweet pup. Unfortunately, I’m about to relocate for the military and can’t bring her with me and don’t have family that can keep her. As a blue heeler, she would do best with a fenced in back yard or farm. She’s fine with other dogs, iffy about cats and not great with young kids. She’s an excellent guard dog. She does require apoquel for allergies in the summer as needed. One prescription lasts about 2 years and I have a full scrip to send with her.

These pups are in Fishers, Indiana too!

Story
Harper’s Compatibility:Dogs - Meet & GreetCats - UnknownKids - Best suited for a home with kids 16+Some dogs are just different in the best way possible—and that’s Harper. At 7 years old, she’s smart, independent, and full of personality. She’s not the type of dog who’s going to follow you around all day, but she’ll always be there when it counts—curled up next to you on the couch, watching over the house like it’s her personal kingdom, or waiting expectantly for a snack (because let’s be honest, food is her love language).Harper is brilliant. She picks up on emotions, senses bad days, and loves having a job to do. She thrives on routine, structure, and training—she’s one of those dogs who enjoys learning just as much as she enjoys lounging. She can be a little picky about her social circle, preferring slow introductions and respectful interactions, but once you’re in, you’re in.She’s housebroken, crate-trained, and fiercely loyal to her people. She appreciates a calm, predictable home where she can be her best self without too much chaos. She’s affectionate but likes to do things on her own terms—think of her like a dog with a cat’s soul.Harper isn’t looking for just any home—she’s looking for the right fit. One that appreciates her brilliant mind, her independent streak, and her unwavering devotion. If you’re ready for a true companion with a personality all her own, Harper is waiting to meet you!-----Adoption Fees & Benefits:Under 1 year: $2001-4 years: $1005-9 years: $5510+ years: $35Fees include: Heartworm test (age appropriate), vaccinations, flea/tick preventative, complimentary bag of food, wellness exam, and rabies vaccine.Important Notice: A `meet and greet` with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas.
