Story
Copper, a 9-yr old heeler mix, is looking for a new forever home. He knows basic commands like sit and shake, and is still playful but loves to lay on the couch and nap with you too. Copper gets along with other dogs, and doesn’t mind cats inside but is more curious about them outside. We think a home with older children who have dog experience would be best, as he's getting a little feisty in his old age. Copper has developed a bit of loud noise anxiety, and his foster family is working through it with him. He's an awesome dog looking for a place to chill. As are all EARS dogs, he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.If you'd like add Copper to your family, please submit an adoption application via our website, www.effinghamanimalrescue.com.

Story
Saydee is our newest resident at ECAC and is sooo sad. Saydee came to the shelter after her owner was no longer able to care for her. We are amazed at how great of a dog she is! She is a Blue Heeler around 1 1/2- 2 years old. She loves to give kisses, and she gets so excited her whole body wags, not just her tail! She walks great on a leash and shows signs of being house trained. She gets along well with other dogs, but a meet and greet is required. She does well with children. Her adoption fee is $130. She will come current on her age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, on current flea/tick/heartworm prevention and spayed.
