This brindle beauty is super timid, but behind his hesitation is a heart that longs to trust and love. One thing that brings him comfort? Other dogs. He thrives in their company and would do best in a home with a confident canine friend to help him feel safe. With time, patience, and a gentle hand, Mateo will slowly come out of his shell and show just how special he truly is. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who just needs a little extra love to shine, Mateo is waiting for you. Come meet Mateo and give him the second chance he deserves! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
