Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Leroy is the ultimate companion for anyone seeking a sweet, affectionate friend. He adores snuggling up in your chair while you enjoy your favorite shows, and he loves nothing more than to rub his face against yours when you give him some love. With his heartwarming habit of burrowing into warm blankets fresh from the dryer, Leroy is a bundle of adorable joy! This charming pup has a playful side, too! He’s a squeaky ball enthusiast who loves to fetch and will keep you entertained with his relentless squeaking. Leroy is well-behaved in the car and has completed obedience classes, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to learn.  While he’s a friendly guy with people—ask the vets and techs who adore him—Leroy does prefer a calm environment without other dogs. He thrives best in a home with a young, kid-free couple or a single person looking for a loyal companion. Leroy is a medium-energy dog who enjoys small walks and some fetching in the living room, making him the perfect pet for a relaxed lifestyle. Please note that Leroy needs a special home where he can be the only dog. He has had some challenges with dog interactions, so he’s managed carefully in his current environment. His sweet nature shines brightest when surrounded by humans who appreciate his uniqueness. If you’re ready to welcome a loving, cuddly companion, Leroy is excited to meet you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 14, 2025, 1:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Suzi is an adult ACD/BC who was found stray and is currently in a foster home for Mo-Kan Border Collie Rescue.  This is a courtesy listing on behalf of Mo-Kan BC Rescue, and anyone interested in meeting or learning more about Suzi should e-mail Kim Pluenneke of Mo-Kan at the below e-mail address: kpluenneke@gmail.com Mo-Kan BC Rescue says this about Suzi: Meet Suzi, a charming black and white Border Collie mix, weighing around 40 lbs. She's a true peoplelover, always ready for affection and cuddles. Suzi enjoys a variety of things and activities such as playing tug, soft squeaky toys, going on walks, frozen peanut butter filled kongs, hard chews, licky mats, snuffle mats, dog puzzles, soft foam dog beds (and maybe a fuzzy one for her head), belly rubs, and giving kisses. She's potty trained and kennel trained, though she'd rather be by your side.  Suzi has a bit of a prey drive, so she's not suited for homes with small animals. She's selective with other dogs, making her a good fit as an only dog or with a submissive dog companion. She's actively learning commands and tricks (sit, lie down, come, wait, here, get it, give it, leave it, place, here, spin, twirl, touch, hide, roll over, crawl and catch) and is eager to please for treats or toys. Suzi is intelligent, inquisitive, and knows when to relax. If you're seeking a Border Collie's intelligence, beauty, and loyalty without the high energy, Suzi is your ideal match. She requires a fenced yard and someone knowledgeable about her breed. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Suzi is currently in foster care in Manhattan, KS.   Please note that Suzi is listed as being good with kids but has not been around very small children (toddlers and infants); she does quite well with older children.  She is friendly with dogs of her size and will need a gradual introduction to much smaller dogs.  She is not tolerant of cats as they seem to set off her prey drive.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2025, 8:59 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Remington (Remi for short) was adopted by his current family when he was a young puppy, and has lived with them since; however, with the family's circumstances changing recently, his owners are now looking for a home for Remi where he will receive more attention and care then can be given him in his current home. Remi is an active, fun-loving adult dog, a Heeler/Corgi cross with behaviors typical of the herding breeds.  He is a bit nervous about new people and things -- a very typical herding breed characteristic -- but is friendly when he gets to know the person or surroundings.  He has not lived with children but has behaved well when around them; however, it would be best, given his age, that he live in a home with older children or no children.  Also, he has not been around cats, so how he might react to them is an unknown. Remi is in South Bend IN.  If you would like more information about him, or want to meet him, please contact his owner at brendakrathwohl@gmail.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 4, 2025, 6:50 pm
