Story
A FUN FRIEND FOR YOU:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 41 lbs.  Hello – I’m Rich!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am thrilled to be a part of the MM family, where I am getting lots of love and great care from the dedicated volunteers.  I recently got some great news!  I am now ready to find a family of my very own.  I look forward to that day, so come meet me soon!  I got to participate in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did fine with the male dogs, but I preferred the female dogs that I met, so if you have a dog that won’t mind letting me be the more dominant of the two of us, then let’s meet! / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and we all agree that I should not live with cats.  / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  It’s unanimous, the volunteers say I am ‘a great dog’ and I bet you will agree! I’m friendly with people and love spending time with them.  I have a true cattle dog nature – strong-willed and independent yet I’m as happy and smart as I am handsome.  When left out of my crate, my nose has found a few things that don’t belong to me to play with, so if I’m quiet for too long, you should be suspicious.  I’m quite affectionate and let out some grunts, growls and sighs of ecstasy during that GREAT shampoo massage for my shelter bath.  / My energy level is 8–10, so I will require regular exercise. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners are very good on the prison/foster training schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Spending time with people is just the best, and my favorite part of my shelter walk is perching on a stump on the property and checking out everything going on around me.  I love to check things out and explore.  Bones are fun to chew on, and I am always up for scratches and cuddles. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great furever home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  November 3, 2024, 8:07 am

Story
Gabrielle is a 2 year old female Australian Cattle Dog mix, who is a snuggler, a cuddler, and everything sweet! She would love to be your favorite companion and cuddlebug. Gabrielle might be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long to fall in love with her sweet gentle nature. When taken out to the fenced-in park, she enjoys exploring all of the interesting scents. And then she always comes back to you with her tail wagging, showing you just how happy she is to be by your side. Gabrielle would probably be best as the only dog of the household, but don’t worry - she has more than enough love to give all on her own! On the other hand, she does seem ok with nearby cats and simply shows mild curiosity about them. Gabrielle would make a perfect companion for movie night, where she could be snuggled up close to you. So if you are ready to welcome a super sweet and loving pup into your life, Gabrielle is the one for you! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. This little guy, whom we are calling Frankie in honor of Frankenstien was found close to Halloween. He is a sweet boy who is doing well with housebreaking and crate training.
