Story
Oden is a two month old Australian Caddle dog. He is highly intelligent, plays well with other dogs, and is almost potty trained. He is extremely advanced for his age and is ready to take on more responsibilities in his forever home. Oden is learning to like the crate and has already transitioned to hard food (although we love to supplement with wet puppy food too). He is a happy puppy and very healthy. Unfortunately, due to circumstances regarding our housing, we will no longer be able to keep Oden. Our hearts are broken over it. The deadline is New Years. Please consider adopting him into your loving home and giving him the best life possible. Price is negotiable for right fit.

Story
With a personality as strong as the one he is named after, six-year-old Apollo is a legend all his own. He is full of fiery spirit and is eager to go and do almost everything. He is very handsome and knows just how charming he needs to be to win you over. When out in the yards, he runs all over with a smirk across his face, enticing those around to join the fun. His favorite activity is playing ball, showcasing his speed while proudly bringing the ball back, triumphantly. A close second is going on a nice long walk with some of our volunteers. He is in need of some leash training as he can pull at times, and he loves to play grab the leash when first putting it on. He will sit for treats, which has helped, and has shown he is very treat motivated. Toys are also a fun pasttime, squeakers or a good stuffed Kong with peanut butter keep this guy happy. Apollo can be affectionate, showing it in his own way by leaning up against your legs, and is always prompt for scratches, but is not a fan of full on embracement. He has been making more and more human friends, but is not to happy sharing space with other canine companions. With such a large personality, an experienced owner would be ideal for this exceptional dog. Adventure, excitement and a world of opportunity, Apollo would make a wonderful addition to the right home, come see for yourself at Satchel's Last Resort! For an appointment to meet Apollo, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will get back to you.

Not a fan of walking on a leash but she's getting better at it every day. Fostered in Apopka area.

Freya is a brave, confident explorer! She'll need heavy exercise and mental stimulation daily. She's usually too busy for snuggles but might let you get in a quick belly rub as she's running by. Freya doesn't love her crate but she's learning to see it as a safe space and doesn't have a problem sleeping in it through the night. Story
Piper is an active girl who knows basic commands, is house and crate trained and is working on manners. She does better with routine and boundaries. She is hesitant and guarded when first meeting people, however, once she calms down she quickly warms up to new people. She is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat - so that is definitely a tool for you to use! Piper needs socialization with people and dogs and requires an experienced handler. She and her foster brother play well and also lay around chilling. She has some resource guarding with food, which is very common with shelter dogs given their situation and usually very easily trained out. She will be a great dog for an active couple. Hiking, ball play, agility training, road trips and farmers market could all be in her future. Her water skills are unknown at this time. Fenced yard and dog savvy folk are needed, along with a desire to continue training this sweet girl and exposing her to the big world!! Piper is located in Naples. Applications are found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.

Story
Hi, I'm Moose! I am a little ball of love with the best eyebrows and beautiful cattle dog markings. I am curious and happy and LOVE meeting all people and will dive into your lap to get all the cuddles. Like all puppies, I'm full of energy and will need a home that can devote time to helping me get it out. I picked up leash walking almost immediately and am learning to love walks and I especially love going to the beach. I like to hold the leash in my mouth and foster mama says I melt her heart. I'm very close to being fully potty trained and even have started tapping the door now when I need to go outside. I go in my crate without complaint for naps and sleep through the night like a big boy. I'm fostered in St. Augustine, FL living the good life until my forever family finds me. I think that's you! Please note: If there is no one home during the day, a puppy is not a good choice. Adopters should read about the "breed/mix" to be sure they are ready to add one of these little cuties to their home. They require plenty of exercise and training to become the amazing family dogs they can be.
