With a personality as strong as the one he is named after, eight-year-old Apollo is a legend all his own. He is full of fiery spirit and is eager to go and do almost everything. He is very handsome and knows just how charming he needs to be to win you over. When out in the yards, he runs all over with a smirk across his face, enticing those around to join the fun. One of his favorite activities is playing ball, showcasing his speed while proudly bringing the ball back, triumphantly. He loves adventures with his Satchel's Woof Pack leader; having an air conditioned truck ride, followed by a long walk to explore before heading back to the shelter. Toys are also a fun pasttime, squeakers or a good stuffed Kong with peanut butter keep this guy happy. Apollo can be affectionate, showing it in his own way by leaning up against your legs, and is always ready for scratches, but is not a fan of full on embracement. He has made several human friends here at Satchel's. With such a large personality, an experienced owner would be ideal for this exceptional dog. Story
Bobo is a 2 and a half-year-old neutered male weighing 36.5 lbs who is heartworm negative and described as push-and-pull social in playgroup. He is friendly, curious, and affectionate with both staff and volunteers, greeting people at the kennel with a loose, relaxed body and wagging tail. Bobo is generally easy to leash, walks calmly to play areas, and remains composed around other dogs, even when they are barking. In the yard, he enjoys exploring, playing with toys, and engaging with handlers, frequently soliciting pets and leaning into affection. He is comfortable being handled, sits for treats, and happily interacts with people, often nudging or licking to continue receiving attention. Bo demonstrates a strong bond with humans, often jumping onto laps or leaning heavily into petting, yet he is capable of independent exploration and quickly returns to handlers when called. He shows appropriate manners both in playgroup and during walks, is easy to return to his kennel, and tolerates leash adjustments without issue. Overall, Bobo is a social, loving, and relaxed dog who thrives on human interaction and would make a wonderful companion for an active household that can provide attention, play, and affection. Foster Notes: Bo has been in my home for the last couple months and is doing quite well. He just needs time and patience and any new pup would. He gets on well with his fur mates and my 15 yo son loves him. He is kind to anyone coming to visit. No is reactive by barking once he leaves the home and placed on leash. He’s curious with keen sense of hearing. He was surrendered initially for a bite that the shelter assessed him for and found no future or immediate concern. He was living on the streets and I can only imagine what that does to a pup. He’s more relaxed now being in a home. Bo is house trained and sleeps some nights in the crate and some nights in bed with his fosters. He is starting training soon. I don’t recommend with small children since his herding tendencies are to nip.

Story
Meet Bret! Bret is a 1-year old male Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix who weighs 30.7 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. He is currently located in Spring Hill. Bret is a lovely, affectionate boy with tons of energy and enthusiasm for life. He absolutely loves to run and play, and he’ll happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give. With his intelligence and drive, he would make a fantastic sports prospect or thrive with an active family that enjoys hiking, running, water activities, or other outdoor adventures. He does well with other dogs and would benefit from having another active canine companion to help burn off his energy. He is not a good fit for cats because he plays rough with them. His experience with small children is unknown. Bret is crate trained and leash trained. He heels well on a leash when given reminders. Bret also knows how to "auto-sit" when you stop walking. He is learning many other commands in training such as down, stay, and leave it. Bret is working on house training. If you’re looking for a fun, athletic, and affectionate companion to share your adventures, Bret may be the perfect match! Apply to adopt www.ewenityfarmsbch.com

Story
Miller is a 3-year-old Black Tri Heeler. He was owner relinquished. His family went through a divorce and he was living in an apartment in a crate most of the day. They couldn't offer him the life he deserved. Great with other dogs! Loves to run and play fetch! He is a snuggle bug and super sweet. He would be an excellent Farm Dog, he's a herder!! Crate trained. Potty trained. Leash trained Knows basic commands. Learns very fast! Miller is super smart and needs a job. He LOVES car rides! He would be a phenomenal agility dog! He loves water! He's learned to wait his turn for treats with other dogs. He's learning to be good with chickens, he runs through them for fun and is just curious. He's pretty good with cats. If the cat runs from him he will probably run after it. If it stands up to him he'll be terrified of it. So far, he's not great with little kids but good with older kids. However, that's likely just an exposure/training issue. He has had some good experiences, but if his boundary is involved he's reactive. Miller has very strong protective genes. He is boundary reactive if an unknown someone is approaching his space that he is 'supposed to protect'. He recalls by name extremely well with treats, and will go to his crate or his room on command. You can also have him sit and focus on a treat while new people enter the space around him, which helps. A harness with a handle has proven very helpful. He can be amazing with new people once he's introduced properly. Restaurants and the drive-thru are too overstimulating because he's trying to protect the space around him and he's not sure what to do with the new people that enter. This is again something that could be trained. He has gone to stores like Tractor Supply and been fine because he doesn't own the space. Miller needs a home that understands this breed and can offer him the outlet to safely act on his natural instincts in a controlled environment. A big yard or farm and some training would go a long way. If he could guard a fence line or gate instead of a front door that would be ideal.
