Sydney is 11.5 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. She loves to be with people, snuggle close, sleep, and take walks. She got in a fight with our other dog and they are now not able to get along together, they will fight again, and we cannot keep them separated. She would be great with anyone who does not have other pets and just wants a dog that loves people. She loves treats and loves to be close to you, being petted, etc. as you can see from the picture of her with our elderly mother who lives with us. We really wish we didn't have to give her up but she will be much happier in another loving home. We are in Florida but are willing to drive her a long way for the rehome and will provide food, bowls, toys, collars, leashes, etc. Thank you for considering her!

This is Diego. He's an 11 month old Aussie mix that needs a foster home. He was a "free dog" online and the original owners did not represent him honestly with the new owners. Things are not working out and he needs to be properly placed (after full vetting). He is scheduled dor neuter on Tuesday. We hope to have a foster in place by then. He's great with his people and FEMALE dogs. His behavior around cats is unknown because the family does not have cats. There was a pretty bad fight between Diego and the senior male dog in this family. Since the fight the family has been distrusting of his behavior around the four-year-old as well so to be safe they have kept them separate. This is why he has to go. For this reason, we do not want him fostered with male dogs until he has been vetted and properly evaluated. We also do not feel that he should be placed in a home with young children until vetting and evaluation. He's a beautiful boy and deserves a happily ever after. We can help him find it!! It may well be he just needs his testosterone to be taken care of. Many dogs settle down after neuter and it's never fair to these animals when the original owners do not divulge all the information to the new owners. We feel this is a combination of situations that has just worked against Diego. Charlie is a good boy. He has a lot going for him!! *Basic obedience *Housebroken *Good with kids *Good with dogs *Neutered *Up to Date on Vax *Australian Shepherd mix Charlie really doesn't have any strikes against him. But there are a few NO-NO'S for Charlie... he is a high-energy herding breed and NOT appropriate for the very young children he lives with. He hasn't done anything wrong but the family is wisely identifying the problems BEFORE they escalate (which they WILL once the children walk and run). Charlie is also not good around cats and small animals. Those are his limitations and we can respect that. He is currently living with two children (under 2) and needs to be rehomed or taken into a reputable rescue. Our rescue has no available foster homes... but what we CAN do is share Charlie's story. We can also assist by screening potential adoptive families and representing Charlie through our adoption search engines. We offer Charlie an "umbrella" of sorts.
