She came into rescue after the passing of her owner. She would do best as an only pet as she gets very anxious and possessive over toys. She has been spayed, current on all vaccines including Rabies and Bordetella, heartworm and fecal negative and microchipped. She has been on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative. All dogs shed and most of our dogs are mix breeds and are not recommended for any person suffering with allergies. ADOPTION DONATION: $200.00 ADOPTION PROCESS: ***Please be advised you must live in or near the Tampa area and be able to provide an established veterinary reference to adopt from our organization and no children under 6 years please. Preference is given to homeowners and with some breeds we will not consider renters of any type. 1. Submit an online application at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. It can take 3 - 7 days to process an application. Please notify your vet's office that we may be contacting them and to release information to us. 2. Background checks, vet references and verification of home ownership will be conducted. If we are considering a renter, landlords will be contacted to ensure breed mixture and size of dog is permitted and if a pet deposit is required. 3. You will ONLY be contacted if your application is approved to arrange a homevisit. Piper is an active girl who knows basic commands, is house and crate trained and is working on manners. She does better with routine and boundaries. She is hesitant and guarded when first meeting people, however, once she calms down she quickly warms up to new people. She is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat - so that is definitely a tool for you to use! Piper needs socialization with people and dogs and requires an experienced handler. She and her foster brother play well and also lay around chilling. She has some resource guarding with food, which is very common with shelter dogs given their situation and usually very easily trained out. She will be a great dog for an active couple. Hiking, ball play, agility training, road trips and farmers market could all be in her future. Her water skills are unknown at this time. Fenced yard and dog savvy folk are needed, along with a desire to continue training this sweet girl and exposing her to the big world!! Piper is located in Naples. Flower formally known as Bullet. We gave her a re-brand since the name Bullet does her no favors, really she's just a sweet stinker. She is a very active heeler mix, makes a great walking or running companion. She would do best with a single person or couple without young children, sometimes she plays extremely rough, and doesn't seem to realize her strength. She still needs to learn manners and presence with other dogs. As of right now, she would do best being the only dog, and would thrive one on one. She has been dog reactive, but maybe with socialization, that could change. She's very smart and needs the opportunity to learn boundaries and manners. She is in need of someone whom is patient and willing to put the training into her, she would also make a great sport dog, he has some awesome jumping skills. She was in Okeechobee shelter, this girl is in need of a heeler savvy/ active dog home that can provide her with mental stimulation and activities to tone down all that energy, combine that with some basic training and she will be an awesome girl!! She is very loving, sweet gives kisses. She wants to play so bad, and have personal attention. She is a bit mouthy, barks at you for play time, she also likes to place her mouth on your arm, she just needs re-direction with a toy. PINTO made it to Florida!! We were asked to help him find a furever home. That should be NO issue as he is super cute!! Here is his info: Pinto is around 8 months old. Small Heeler mix and maybe some dachshund, he is a sniffer!, He is house broke, kennel trained, and likes other animals big or small. He just wants all the love, his family could no longer have him so he has been staying in a home in Texas who can no longer keep him. Other heeler rescues in Texas are full. He was said to be scared of Men, however he loves the guy who transported him and now is fostering him, He just needs someone with a little bit of patience, lots of love, some dog savvyness and give him a chance! He loves to have his chest scratched and rubbed and will fall asleep in your arms doing so. Sometimes this little dude will get the zoomies, and gives face licks with love nibbles, which are hard to not love. He just wants to play and love! He does good with horse and goats too! He is around 25 pounds and will not get any bigger. He needs to be neutered.

Puppy Available!!! Born: 5/1/2024 Rocky is a very sweet Australian Cattle Dog mix in need of a forever home! He is a fantastic pup, 40lbs (still growing) and will probably grow to be 45-50lbs at full size. Rocky is very food motivated and has been picking up on his training quickly! He is housebroken and has learned to ring a bell by the door when he needs to go out. He is also crate trained and knows "sit" and "down", but would still benefit from some basic obedience training. He has a lot of puppy energy, does fairly well with children but can get a bit nippy when overexcited. He would thrive most with a lot of space to run or a very active household. Although he is always in play mode, he has an off switch and loves to snuggle with his person before bedtime. He has a high prey drive and likes to chase cats, might do best in a cat free home or with a dog-savvy cat. He is happiest in the company of other dogs and when he's with his person. He is a Velcro dog and will want to follow you around the house and be your adventure buddy always! He has the biggest ears and an even bigger heart. Rocky has a ton of potential and with the correct guidance will be an excellent addition to any family! Currently fostered in Englewood, FL.
