Spike Energetic Cattle Dog Mix | Adventure Seeker | Herding Enthusiast Objective: Seeking an active and adventurous forever home where I can put my energy and instincts to work. Would excel for a farm or a home that loves outdoor activities like hiking, running, or four-wheeling. Skills & Strengths: - High Energy: Always ready for action, whether it's exploring trails, chasing a ball, or helping with chores. - Herding Instincts: Natural talent for keeping everyone in line—humans and animals alike. - Playfulness: Loves toys, games, and interactive play sessions. Frisbees are my favorite but they don't last long. - Adventure Buddy: Thrives in outdoor environments and enjoys being part of the action. - Quick Learner: Smart and eager to take on challenges with the right guidance. Areas for Growth: - Mouthy When Excited: I get so thrilled about life that I sometimes use my mouth to communicate since I don't have thumbs—training and consistency will help. - Mischievous: My curiosity can get the best of me, but it just adds to my charm! Give me a toy or puzzle to pass the time. Ideal Environment: - A spacious property where I can have a "job" to channel my energy and instincts. - An active owner or family who loves outdoor adventures and appreciates a playful, hardworking companion. - Someone experienced with herding breeds who can help guide my energy in positive ways. Fun Fact: I’m the kind of dog who will keep you entertained with my clever antics, big personality, and never-ending enthusiasm for life! Ready to meet your adventure partner? Let’s get started on our journey together! 🐾

Story
Rosie is a sweet girl that my husband and I saved from a kill shelter. She was pregnant at the time and we were able to rehome all her puppies free of charge. Unfortunately Rosie has not been able to find a forever family. We are in desperate need of one due to my recent diagnosis and not being able to care for all of our dogs anymore. Please consider giving Rosie a loving family. She truly deserves it.

Story
Piper is 9 years old. She has matured from the hyper puppy with unending energy to a homebody who loves to be with her people. Piper would jump quickly to go for a walk or a couple runs of fetch in the back yard. We have never intentionally fed her from the table but she is a great Roomba for our three kids. She is well trained, but will always bark at the Amazon trucks. Loves to cuddle up on the couch. She has been sweet with all three of our children since their births but may leave the room if they bother her too much. She is loyal and very affectionate to those who appreciate & love her. She will do great with someone who wants a companion and loving presence around your home.

Story
Bandit is a young and handsome energetic pup. He is around 40lbs and is a year old. He needs a person willing to spend time continuing his training as he is young and still in the chewing stage. He is treat and attention motivated. He is crate trained, rides well in car, he has made great strides on leash walking and potty training. Bandit has a silly, fun personality. He is very curious and has a lot of potential, I would say medium to high energy but he does have an off switch. He was a little nervous during thunderstorms but just needs to know where his person is. Bandit is an all around love bug that gets along well with other dogs, is neutered, current on immunizations and on preventatives. If he sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration ane transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue eforts.

I took over care for this girl 6 years ago and she has been a wonderful companion. She is very loving, knows commands, and is house trained. She’s never been around kids. She is reactive to bigger dogs but has never bitten, just growled. She is leash and crate trained as well. She will bark if someone knocks or rings the doorbell.
