Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
Meet Twisty: A Tennis Ball Enthusiast! Age: 5 years old Breed: Cattle Dog Personality: Cautious but Playful Adoption Fee: $395 Twisty came to Adopt-A-Dog with a story of neglect. She was rescued from a property with many other dogs. It was believed that she was likely thrown over a fence into a pen, which caused her left hip to dislocate. Left without medical care, Twisty became unable to fend for herself due to the injury. She became severely emaciated, weighing only 32 lbs when she arrived at our partner rescue in Texas. Her eyes were sunken from dehydration, and she was often bullied by the other dogs. Twisty's left hip was retracted so tightly to her body that she couldn’t extend the leg at all. X-rays revealed a months-old luxation of the hip, which had gone untreated. The rescue team provided Twisty with immediate care, including a refeeding plan, medication for her sores, and set her on the path toward an eventual FHO surgery to correct her permanently dislocated hip. Today, Twisty is thriving and loves playing ball, showing off her strong post-surgery hip! Six months after her ordeal, she is a happy, energetic girl who enjoys long walks along the trails with her caretakers. Twisty is good with other well-mannered dogs and loves attention. She knows how to fetch and will play for hours if given the chance! Twisty would make a wonderful companion or family dog for an active household. ##2249098##

Meet Depeche Mode: Your Constant Companion Age: 2 yearsBreed: Blue Heeler / Husky MixPersonality: Sweet and PlayfulAdoption Fee: $495 Meet Depeche Mode! This sweet pup is the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle love. Half of the time, you'll catch her zooming around with excitement, while the other half, she's the ultimate cuddle bug, ready to snuggle up on the couch for a chill movie night. She’s a social butterfly, getting along with other dogs both in the home and on outdoor adventures--but no cats or small cirtters for her. Depeche does have some FOMO, and would be happiest in a home that has someone around most of the day and won't leave her crated for long periods of time. Story
Sunflower is a stunning 3 year old, 50 lb Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. Friendly and sweet, this girl enjoys meeting new people and going for walks. She is smart, food motivated, and already knows “sit” and “down”. Due to her likely breed heritage, she does have a high prey drive and cannot be in a home with cats or small animals. Sunflower has a truly sunny personality and turns heads with her stunning markings. She loves to play with her toys but is still learning how to share, so she needs a home without young children or other dogs. She would love a fenced yard and someone who wants to channel her mind and drive into fun activities, like hiking or agility! In return, she will provide a lucky home with all of her loyalty, love, and companionship! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
