Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Rupert is a calm, affectionate puppy who is an old soul. His quiet, gentle demeanor combined with his striking gray/blue/green eyes makes him seem wise beyond his young years. This little guy just loves to be held and showered with affection—he’s the perfect cuddle buddy for anyone seeking a sweet, laid-back companion. When not being held Rupert is content playing with a toy or his siblings. Although laid back Rupert holds his own and if his siblings get too rough he won’t hesitate to put them in their place. Rupert is doing wonderfully with potty training and is happy to go both on pee pads and outside, showing that he’s both adaptable and eager to learn. When it’s time for bed Rupert and his siblings all sleep together in their kennel. Once placed in the kennel they don’t whine at all and will sleep through the night. If you’re looking for the sweetest, snugglest puppy with an old soul, Rupert might just be your perfect match! *Will be available after 1/21/25* www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

From the foster: Justin is a little ball of joy who loves everyone he meets, whether it's a family member, friend or his fosters dog. Whether he’s running around having fun or just soaking up attention, he’s sure to melt your heart with his charm and enthusiasm. Justin is working on potty training and uses both puppy pads and will go outdoors. He will go to the door and let you know when he needs to poop. Story
*Rehoming Fee is now $1500* Bandit came from an unplanned litter between a blue and red heeler (dogs not intended for breeding). He is 6 months old, NOT fixed. We have 3 children; a teen, toddler, and a baby. Bandit is good with all of them, especially gentle with the little ones. He has gone through formal training and is house broken, and also kennel trained. Additional training and follow up is available through training company. We simply don't have the right property or time for Bandit to be happy and thrive. He would do amazing living on a large property, a farm or ranch. He could be trained to be a working dog as he is very athletic. We would love to find Bandit the perfect home where he can be happy and live up to his full doggy potential. Rehoming fee is priced for less than the value of his training alone. We are willing to be flexible if the right home is found.

Story
Thriving in her foster home, 1 year old Target, the former stray, is finally safe. At 33 pounds, this white and tan beauty percolates with puppy enthusiasm and energy, sweetness and sociability. Tender and gentle, she loves being petted, cuddled and snuggled by her foster mom, resting her head on her, showing her paw for love and returning her affection by giving her hugs. A true people pup, Target also loves wagging her tail and greeting everyone she meets and was endearingly friendly towards the children she encountered at the dog park. Learning all about boundaries, she enjoys engaging with dogs of all sizes, walking and running with her foster mom, improving her leash skills along the way, and going swimming. Famously fond of tennis balls, peanut butter lick mats and treats, motivated by love and food, Target currently knows “come” and “no,” is almost fully crate trained (Benebones inside her crate help), and is at work on both her house-training and puppy manners. Now all Target needs is an adoring and active home without cats to continue her socialization, perfect her manners and complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for a lifetime of happy hugs and a love like no other.  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Cherishing her second chance at forever is charismatic 14-month-old Canela! The 29-pound black beauty and former stray may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she reveals how sweet she truly is. Thriving now on her fosters parents’ attention, she loves snuggling and cuddling with them, resting her head on them and giving them her paw to ask for even more loving. Frisky and friendly and extremely energetic, Canela engages easily and eagerly with dogs of assorted sizes and enthusiastically burns off her excess energy by playing with toys, playing fetch and going for walks, walking best with a harness and leash. Motivated by food and treats and as bright as the proverbial button, she currently knows “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “no,” “off” and is working on “leave it,” “place” and “come.” Diligently at work on her doggy manners, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Canela’s ideal home is one with another playful pup and especially active adopters who will perfect her manners and complete her training in exchange for a lifetime of nightly cuddles and snuggles. Story
Evie is about 3 months old and a true joy. She’s a lively, playful pup and loves everyone. I think she’d be happier in a home with kids or other animals as she’s very social. Unfortunately I can’t provide that for her as I’m experiencing a busier schedule than I anticipated and I don’t want her to be lonely. If you want a perfect companion for kids or other pets, I think she’d be a great fit. She just needs a little more training since she’s still a puppy but she’s crate trained, house trained and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay, high five and speak.

Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.   Stix is about 5 years old (est. birthday is 1/18/2020) and is a total catch. He is smart, food motivated and has been through basic training. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, rollover and has the cutest most majestic wolf howl. He LOVES to play fetch, hike and go running. He is crate-trained and house-trained and loves puzzle toys and bones and any games you might teach him. He can live with other dogs, with proper introductions, he does not do well with cats. He would make a great companion for an active household. He is protective of his food. To meet Stix, put in an application at  www.eapl.com  His adoption fee is partially sponsored by two generous friends of EAPL and only $150!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F03ALyDS-_E  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9_GcmmRUQiw    December 22, 2024, 11:15 am

Story
Oh, to be loved by tenderhearted 2-year-old Orville! The 43-pound red and cream beauty, so sweet and so social, loves snuggling and cuddling with his fosters, resting his head on them, rolling over for tummy rubs and then dancing about in delight. Finding his place and fitting in smoothly with his doggy foster friends’ “pack,” Orville is interested in and gentle with children of various ages, and enjoys making new friends of the people he meets on his walks. And speaking of walks … he loves his hour-long walks, honing his leash skills along the way, (he could easily become a sturdy running/hiking companion), and also loves supervised play with neighbor dogs. So bright that he learned to fetch after just one day, Orville is partial to stuffies that squeak, Nylabones and cotton rope toys, and is highly motivated by love, food and toys. He presently knows “sit” perfectly, is polishing his “come,” “down,” “no” and “leave it” commands, sadly gets sick on car rides, but is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now, all Orville needs is a loving home, preferably with a securely fenced yard (no cats, paw-lease) and patient adopters to continue bolstering his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, both mentally and physically, fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home.
