Story
Harlow the 76 lbs lap dog! I said what I said, ok? Harlow is a 1 year old, male, Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Mix. This sweet, sweet boy is unfortunately, looking for a new home. You see, Harlow has springs on his feet. These springs sometimes land him on the other side of the fence where he doesn’t belong and his family is having a hard time keeping him contained. Harlow LOVES dog friends and he just leaves to go seek out canine companions to romp around with. So, he’s looking for a home with a 5-6 ft privacy fence and a canine companion that likes to wrestle and play. Harlow does well with the children in his home, however, he isn’t the most social guy and can be growly and on edge with new people, so we feel a home without a lot of comers and goers would be best for him. He warms up, but his humans should be mindful of his skepticism and help him learn to trust accordingly. He’s house trained, crate trained, and did we say a lap dog? Harlow has attended doggie day care and he LOVES it! However, he was shy and nervous with the staff but when they finally let him with the other dogs he lit up! Harlow is in foster in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/harlow. Story
Mountain wants to go climb that mountain with you! This super sweet, kinda shy, yet fun-loving boy is an 8 month old, male, Heeler/German Shepherd dog mix. We don’t know this for sure, but those ears….those spots! He’s so dreamy! Mountain is a very dog friendly guy. He can be found wrestling and playing and then cozying up next to the fire. Mountain comes from a small, underfunded, extremely overcrowded shelter in Texas. He was among the lucky few that made it out alive and into a loving foster home here in CO. He’s around 40 lbs right now but we suspect he will be around 50-55 once fully grown. Mountain is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/mountain/. Story
Hello - my name is Frankie! I'm from Texas and guessed to be a Lab / Cattle Dog mix. I am a handsome pup with lots of energy, hoping to find my furever home in Colorado! I'm about 2 years old and weigh aboout 68 lbs, I love to run and play ball and would do best with a big fenced yard and an outgoing family willing to spend time training with me and include me on adventures. I'm confident, kinda selective about my dog-friends (does best with submissive females), and also a quick learner - especially if you have hot dogs. Sure would be great if you could come by Windsor and meet me!

Story
Hi there! I'm Maddie, guessed to be a 7 month old Cattle Dog or Heeler mix, around 30 lbs. I just came up from TX not too long ago. It was really scary driving all the way up here, and I didn't want to come out of my crate at first, when I got here, but now that I know everybody is so nice and fun, I'm happy as can be! I have puppy energy, and would love somewhere to run around and play, and even a brother or sister to play with! I love other dogs, and even cats, too! I'm actually a really good walker on the leash for how young I am....or so I'm told. I'm okay with my crate, and I sleep really well once I'm in it, naps and all! I even sleep all the way through the night! I'm a super smart girl so I've already pretty much figured out potty training. I am a super happy little girl with a pretty calm demeanor, I am just a pup. I'm picking things up really fast and learning a ton from my foster brother. I'm really happy to be up here (Texas was really scary in that shelter), but I really want my own family SO bad. I'll be the BEST dog, I promise! You just have to tire me out a bit first.😉 I would love to say hi, come meet me in Denver! See ya soon!

Story
Meet Alice, a gentle 3-year-old Cattle dog mix with a heart as sweet as her adorable smile. She LOVES her person, loves to be the center of attention, and would enjoy being an only dog, (or with another passive dog, that isn't needy for their human's attention). She is not a fan of high energy dogs or puppies, or ones who get in her face. She is a bit shy at first, but once you give her a chance to warm up, she's a lovebug and wants to share your bed if you'll let her. She is good with cats and respectful younger children. She is amazing on a leash, house trained, and does well in the car. She was found in Mexico on the streets and was rescued with her 2 pups, and they already found homes. So she is still getting used to being loved and living in a home and all that comes with it. Alice gets a little nervous of loud noises, and too much activity in the house (running kids, etc). When scared, she just retreats to her kennel in her foster parents room, until the noise stops. WIth patience, love and time, she will learn about being a house dog and hopefully get less nervous. She is already learning to play ball, and does great walking in the small downtown areas of Ft Collins and Estes Park, etc. She loves praise, belly rubs, and just wants to please her person and get all their attention. Her foster mom thinks she is truly a gem, and she can't wait to have her forever home. Come and meet Alice in Ft Collins!

These pups are in Johnstown, Colorado too!

Story
Ayva is a 10-year-old miniature Aussie we received from a pet store in Virginia. Bobby is a nine-year-old full grown Australian Shepherd, we received him from Florida from a breeder. Both dogs are very playful love to be pet. They are also very obedient and love people. Ayva is one of those dogs that needs a family that is going to cuddle her and hug her and squeeze her and love her. Bubby loves to go for walks and loves treats. It would be great to find a home that would take both dogs, but realistically thinking that may not happen.
