For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1992740##

Story
Maya is a 6 year old mutt (blue heeler, lab, and staffordshire terrier mix) who is very eager to please. She loves learning new commands and can demonstrate sit, stay, down, spot (goes to her "spot"), and has a decent recall. She likes to have a job to do (she will play fetch until your arm can throw no more). Maya gets along well with other dogs and is also friendly with cats. Maya is loyal and attuned to her humans, and she can sometimes be protective. Maya is vocal when new people come over to the house and may take a couple visits to warm up to someone. She can also be skittish/anxious with delivery drivers and unfortunately, she's also skittish around small humans. She will thrive in a house with an experienced dog owner without young kids. ##267461##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Juno: Origin meaning “youthful” and “queen of the gods”. Juno is a 4.5-year-old female cattle dog mix ready to join your family and bring endless joy and excitement to your world. Weighing in at a perfect 50 lbs, she's the ideal size. This energetic and sociable girl loves her morning walks, hiking, playing ball and car rides. She's eager to discover new places and experiences but also content with hanging out at home or cuddling on the couch. At home, she's crate trained, hardly ever barks, and respectful of everything in the house, making her an excellent companion. Juno's striking appearance, with one blue eye and one brown eye, is just as unique as her personality. She’s reminiscent of Bluey from the television series, with her playful energy and sociable nature and can sometimes show a bossy side. True to her cattle dog roots, she enjoys rolling around in the cool grass which has been labeled her ‘happy dance’ by her foster parents. One of Juno's best qualities is her excellent listening skills. She knows many commands and follows them reliably, making her pretty much turnkey. She even knows some good tricks! She’s very attentive, wants to please and has a goofy side that is sure to make you laugh. Her tail wags for her people, and she's good with other dogs and wonderful with kids. She currently lives with two dogs and a 5-year-old human boy, who she adores. If you're looking for a loving and adventurous companion, Juno is the perfect match. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2041758##

This mellow and super smart lady weighs 66lbs and is an amazing young adult. Emory is a social butterfly, getting along great with kids and other pups. Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Hi! My name is Elliot, but my foster parents call me El. I am a cattle dog to a T. Energy? Check. Attitude? 100%. Cuteness? Overload. But along with all of those (best) traits, I am also insanely smart, and super food motivated. I will want to learn anything you want to teach me, and I will learn it SO fast!! I know how to sit, and I will wait for my food until I’m told “OK”! I learned the dog door at my foster parents’ house the same day I got here, and I have mastered going potty outside.  I love to be outside, playing with my foster siblings. My favorite foster sibling (don’t tell the others that I have a favorite) is my Great Pyrenees foster brother.  He is HUGE! But I love to play with him, climb all over him, and wrestle all day.  My very favorite thing of all time is sticks! If I can find myself a good stick to chew on (and keep away from everyone else), I’m in puppy heaven. I like to cuddle with my foster siblings and/or foster parents on the couch after a good hard play session. At nighttime, I sleep through the night in my kennel without a peep.  I also don’t mind going in the kennel during the day if my foster parents have to leave the house, especially if there’s a treat bribe involved! My foster parents have been taking me out and about in the world, and I’m doing pretty well! Sometimes, I have to talk to the other dogs around me, but my foster parents are teaching me that not everyone wants to hear my voice. I do well on the leash, and absolutely LOVE riding in the car. Take. Me. Everywhere. If you’re looking for a smart, dedicated boy to be your best friend, look no further! I can’t wait to meet you. To see more of me and my adventures, check out my foster dad’s Instagram account: @kodabearfosterpups Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2035430##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Meet Blue, a 6 year old Blue Heeler mix! Blue is the most kind, gentle, and loving soul. He enjoys hanging out with his humans and taking a long snooze on the couch. Blue is friendly to everyone he meets, including other dogs. He currently lives with a small terrier, and they get along great! Blue loves his treats and toys, along with being brushed and a nice bath. He likes to walk into our small pool to cool down on a hot day. He may even chase some balls! Blue has a calming presence that anyone who meets him immediately feels. He will sit with you for hours and rarely barks. Although, he may let out a couple 'woofs' if the mail man comes up to the house. Blue might not be up for a long hike, or run but will happily take a leisurely walk or hang out with you in the kitchen while making dinner (he may be looking for scraps!) Blue is also very intuitive, extremely loyal, and loving. He's a big boy with a heart of gold! He just wants to be loved, and it's hard not to love him! If you are looking for a chill, loving, and happy dog, Blue is who you are looking for! Brookie is a one of a kind mix with a big personality! She loves belly rubs, playing tug, running around outdoors and cuddling with her people. She loves water, chasing squirrels and going to the mountains! She would make a great addition to an active home with a fenced yard.  She also needs a family without young kids; older kids are fine. Brookie is still learning how to greet people politely - she tends to bark, jump up and say hi, but will calm down with time. She has separation anxiety but has been able to work up to being alone in her crate for 3-4 hours at a time with the help of a peanut butter filled Kong and trazodone. She would do well with someone who is home most of the day. As far as training goes, Brookie knows how to sit, stay, come, and go to her place. She is still working on heel. She is treat motivated and learns quickly! When she’s not enjoying a long walk or playing with her toys, she loves to cuddle and be close to her humans. Brookie is a sweet girl with a lot of love to give!    Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event.
