Story
Meet the majestic Murphy! Isn't he handsome and oh so sweet?! Murphy is hoping to meet an adopter who is home often, since he can feel stressed when home alone. He appreciated the companionship of another dog and even kitties in his last home. After given some time to acclimate to his new setting, he is likely to display his soft personality by curling up next to his family to watch a movie with them. As a snack connoisseur, a great way to coax him out of his shell is with tasty treats. Murphy doesn't let the cold weather slow him down! You can find him romping around and rolling in the snow on wintery days. Murphy will only be placed in a home with children 10 or older. Our volunteers tell us that when they first meet Murphy, he may seem a bit timid and unsure, but he responds well to their being patient and speaking to him in a calm and gentle manner, is very sweet and once he is leashed up, he is a dream to walk. Come meet Murphy today! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Weight: 76.2 Age: 5yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
We adopted Mickey from a rescue when he was about 2-3 months old. He is almost 7 years old now. We say his birthday is Thanksgiving every year, because that is our best guess for about when he was born. We had a baby in February and he doesn't like kids due to their sporadic movements, so it's time we find him a new, loving home now that our baby girl is on the move. Mickey loves to be outside. He has always had a doggie door so he can go outside as he pleases, and he loves that freedom. He enjoys napping in the sun. He likes to run, and likes to be chased in the backyard. He enjoys his daily walks. He likes cuddling but prefers to sleep alone. He is calm and very loving around his "mom" or "dad" but get very anxious when visitors come over so we keep him in a room away from visitors if we have people over. He needs to be in a home with no little children because he doesn't like unpredictability, especially in movement. He gets along with some dogs and not others.

He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, rollover and has the cutest most majestic wolf howl. He LOVES to play fetch, hike and go running. He is crate-trained and house-trained and loves puzzle toys and bones and any games you might teach him. He can live with other dogs, with proper introductions, he does not do well with cats. Story
Meet sweet  Heather ... She has been in training for several weeks now, and she is ready to start meeting her forever family.  What will she need... patience, a few meet and greets at her training facilities by her interested adopters so she can get to know you.  A fur friend she would like to also get to know! LOVE, & cuddles, and did we mention the time to be a sweet family girl!   Here is her latest's report card!  We're thrilled to update you on  Heather 's progress this past week. We've successfully transitioned  Heather  to working fully off-leash and have begun practicing proper introductions to new people, both key steps in building her confidence and polishing her good doggie skills! In the first attached video, you'll see  Heather  navigating a variety of distractions in our training room, such as toys and other dogs. With the leash no longer serving as a means of communication, we've increased our verbal cues and body language to maintain  Heather 's focus and encourage her adherence to commands.  Heather  shows a commendable ability to redirect her attention back to her handler after a few corrections for sniffing or looking at toys. She's eager to please, and we plan to continue enhancing her off-leash skills by exposing her to diverse environments in the coming weeks. The second video features  Heather  meeting a new friend, Jackie. This initial meeting is structured to ensure  Heather 's comfort and safety. We start with dual leashes—one with me and one with Jackie. As I guide  Heather  through commands, Jackie takes over, reinforcing  Heather ’s obedience under new leadership. My presence in the middle with the second leash ensures control if  Heather  shows any signs of using her teeth. This structured approach teaches  Heather  that following directions, especially from new people who make decisions, leads to rewards like treats, helping her quickly trust and feel comfortable with Jackie. We also demonstrate additional body language techniques that further facilitate  Heather 's comfort and bond-building with new people.  Hi, my name is  Heather . I am about 1.7 years old and 50 pounds. I am a beautiful Cattle Dog mix. I can be a little timid, and fearful at my first meetings.  BUT I LOVE treats and gentle talking.  So far, I prefer and trust the company of women, BUT I am learning with slow intros and TREATS that men are nice too! I need a foster family that will let me take my time with humans slowly, at my pace, to want to cuddle-snuggle!  I do cuddle and sit by your side as soon as I feel safe. Can you be my foster home and give me this chance? I get along with other dogs, and they help me to learn confidence.  I  need a home with adults only and would prefer a quiet lifestyle and a secure fenced yard. IS THIS YOU?  Please put in a foster application  https://eapl.com/become-foster-home/    or email  eaplevergreen@eapl.com  for more information.  Her adoption fee is $375. Put in an application at eapl.com March 10, 2025, 1:28 pm

Story
HEARTHEART Is a sweet, goofy 6 year-old Cattle Dog/Lab mix. We figured out that she has issues with young men - which doesn't speak well of the young men she was likely tortured by. She was great with her last family, including young male teenagers, but during a Halloween party and a later New Year party, she was anxious and wasn't put up and so has a record. We have been working with her with volunteers and she has made a lot of progress. She takes an anti-depressant and is getting her thyroid regulated and will need to be on both long-term. She would be absolutely fantastic to hike with and we speak from experience that she is great to sleep with on a cold night. HeartHeart is reliably house trained, spayed, chipped, current on shots. Story
From foster- - seems to be house trained - has been quiet in kennel and stays there when I’m away without issues - sits on command & very treat motivated - working on basic manners when excited like jumping - walks pretty well on a leash. strong and pulls but manageable and can be corrected, no pull harness works wonders!! - does typically want to say hello to those walking by on walks - wants to chase all the birds and squirrels - a little nervous about getting in the car but rides in a crate well once inside - loves a good toy! sometimes he’ll fetch the tennis ball but other times he’s very much like ‘nah’ - enjoys romping around the backyard but prefers you to be with him or in eyesight - goes nuts for a good belly rub - very interested in his people! He had a 12 year old girl that he could barely stand to be away from

Story
Meet Lali! This energetic Heeler mix is now 1.5 years old and full of love and enthusiasm. She’s very high-energy, playful, and loves being around other dogs, humans, and even the cat! Lali listens well and is really coming out of her shell, becoming more confident each day. She’s house-trained, but she’s not a fan of being left alone all day. Lali is food motivated and needs to be fed separately from other dogs. She can be a little protective of her foster parents when other dogs are nearby, but she’s wonderful with everyone once she feels comfortable. Lali would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and love. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion, Lali might be the perfect fit! Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  **Dogs in a foster home will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets. ** ##1808954##

Story
Lucky is a 4,5 years old rescue dog, we got him through a shelter in Boulder at age 1,5-2 y old. He is a good dog and trained by Blackpaw dog trainer. He never damages anything in the house, he sleeps in his crate, house trained for a long time. When he knows the people he is very good but he needs to be introduced properly. He is very good with my family, including 3 years old granddaughter, but he can be very protective of all of us when stranger comes. My husband has Alzheimer's and he is his dog and he is not handling him well and dog is getting very protective of him. He gets into fights with other dogs to protect him. He does listen to me but not him. That's why we want to rehome him to get him an owner he will respect and treat him properly. We love him very much but this is better for us and Lucky.
