Story
The Brush gang arrived at the Rescue from Brush, CO.  Animal Control had them for some time and could not find their furever families, so they asked for help.  They are a sweet, friendly group of Austrailian Cattledog, Lab and pittbull.   They are a very energetic and happy group that can jump high, so a high fence with a large yard or property will be needed for these pups.   Brush pink flowers is an almost 2 year old and looks mostly Cattledog with her spots, she is spayed, microchipped and current on shots.  She is kennel trained but has not spent time in the house, she has her own kennel at night but shares her yard with her brother. Please fill out an application at www.fureverdogdenver.com   If you have any questions or to meet me, please call (720) 588-6809. ##1788564##

Story
Hi, I'm Kalamata. I am a petite and small little lady, weighing 20 pounds. It took me a couple of weeks, but I am finally comfortable with my foster mom's. They have sooo much patience with me. I like to chew A LOT; I try not to chew things I'm not supposed to but sometimes I just can't help it. I'm still a little scared to go outside and I definitely won't pee and poop out there. I like mom cleaning it up inside. My foster mom's try to potty train me, but I can be quite stubborn. I love playing with toys and with my foster mom's, running up and down the hallway is also a blast. Cuddling and pets are the BEST THING EVER!! I still bark at noises and people because it takes me awhile to trust them. And you'd better let me sleep in your room or I'll bark and scratch at your door. My crate still scares me, though mom tries to help me be comfortable in it by positive reinforcement I'm still not a big fan. Some of my favorite foods are beef, chicken, and peanut butter. I won't beg vocally, but if you look at my face you won't be able to resist giving me food. I need a furever family who is loving, patient and willing to train me. The only command I know is no, and boy do my foster mom's say that a lot. I'm a stinker, but deep down inside I love so hard.I am in a foster home. If you would like to meet me please fill out an application on our website and someone will be in touch with you!

Story
Grubup is a sweet, good boy who is learning to trust us humans. He has made huge strides in his foster home and now accepts pets, knows how to sit for treats, and greets them when they come in the door. He is very aware and attentive but still skittish when he doesn’t know what is expected of him. He is starting to explore the things in the house and is learning what is and is not a toy (watch your slippers!). He would do best with another dog to help feel more confident about what’s going on and what to do. He is fully potty trained, comfortable sleeping in the crate at night, and good with cats.

Story
Meet Dunbar, also known as Koda Bear—a young, intelligent mix of Lab and Cattle Dog with so much love to give! Dunbar is a sweet, loyal pup who is looking for the perfect family to help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.Dunbar thrives in a home that can provide a steady routine, guidance, and plenty of positive reinforcement. He needs a patient and committed family willing to set boundaries and reward his progress as he builds confidence. Like many young dogs, Dunbar is still learning and refining his manners, but with consistent training, he has the potential to flourish.Although Dunbar can be wary of new people and new dogs at first, he warms up with time and patience. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he reveals his true self: a snuggly, affectionate companion who loves to play. Dunbar enjoys the company of dogs his size and is currently thriving in his foster home with two other medium-sized dogs. He loves playtime and lounging on the couch with his foster siblings but prefers a home without cats or small dogs.Dunbar is a smart, potty-trained pup who is kennel-trained and adores his toys. He would do best in a home where he can be let out of the kennel before interacting with other dogs. With proper introductions and a loving environment, Dunbar will reward his new family with endless loyalty and cuddles. If you are patient, dedicated, and ready to help Dunbar grow into his best self, you will gain the most incredible best friend. Story
Tulip is going to be an amazing family dog! She is a gentle girl whose breeds deceive the incredibly mellow disposition that she actually has. Little Tulip came down with us and was quite shy. She got over that at the foster home, and now loves to play with the other dogs in the house and enjoys getting pets, though she is still a bit shy outside of the home. She is going to be a snuggler who follows your every command and loves you every day. She is gentle and goofy and is crate trained and house trained. Tulip enjoys children almost more than anything; in fact, children are one thing that gets her tail wagging quickly, and feeling safe in a home. She does play and run, and is fine letting other dogs know when she wants the toy or is done playing, and then just chills out and is thrilled getting loved in a home. She has been walking on a leash outside of the home and done very well, even in situations that may be loud or startling! We are so proud of her growth at her foster home! As she has been growing, she is getting long and lean, as seen in her pics. She would love to be your partner and sleep on your feet all day long after a walk or excursion!

Story
Harlow the 76 lbs lap dog! I said what I said, ok? Harlow is a 1 year old, male, Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Mix. This sweet, sweet boy is unfortunately, looking for a new home. You see, Harlow has springs on his feet. These springs sometimes land him on the other side of the fence where he doesn’t belong and his family is having a hard time keeping him contained. Harlow LOVES dog friends and he just leaves to go seek out canine companions to romp around with. So, he’s looking for a home with a 5-6 ft privacy fence and a canine companion that likes to wrestle and play. Harlow does well with the children in his home, however, he isn’t the most social guy and can be growly and on edge with new people, so we feel a home without a lot of comers and goers would be best for him. He warms up, but his humans should be mindful of his skepticism and help him learn to trust accordingly. He’s house trained, crate trained, and did we say a lap dog? Harlow has attended doggie day care and he LOVES it! However, he was shy and nervous with the staff but when they finally let him with the other dogs he lit up! Harlow is in foster in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/harlow. Story
Mountain wants to go climb that mountain with you! This super sweet, kinda shy, yet fun-loving boy is an 8 month old, male, Heeler/German Shepherd dog mix. We don’t know this for sure, but those ears….those spots! He’s so dreamy! Mountain is a very dog friendly guy. He can be found wrestling and playing and then cozying up next to the fire. Mountain comes from a small, underfunded, extremely overcrowded shelter in Texas. He was among the lucky few that made it out alive and into a loving foster home here in CO. He’s around 40 lbs right now but we suspect he will be around 50-55 once fully grown. Mountain is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/mountain/.
