Story
Meet Tecca, Tecca is a super sweet girl that found herself in a high kill shelter in New Mexico and no one to come claim her. Her time was up in the shelter so to save her we brought her here to Colorado. Tecca is a super sweet girl that is shy at first but loves everyone she meets. She is only about 45 lbs and estimated to be around 4 1/2 years old. Tecca's DNA results are back and she is not a Doberman or even a Doberman Mix. We are a little shocked by the results but she is Malamute, Staffordshire , Cattle Dog mix....but we are pretty skeptical of those results to say the least with her size lol. Tecca is good with other dogs, kids that are respectful of dog space and cats. Tecca is also already house trained and does well in crates. Tecca has been spayed and then we found out that someone shot her several times with air rifle pellets. The pellets that could be removed have been but there are three left. Tecca does require a home with no chickens, ducks or other pet birds. Unless they can be kept completely safe from dogs. Tecca is also looking for a new foster due to her dislike of birds. To apply to foster Tecca please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/foster-application To apply to adopt Tecca please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or webpage https://www.savingdobermankind.org to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more! We do require a completed adoption application to be submitted before discussing details of a specific Doberman. We DO NOT have a central location, out foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO, WY, NM, UT and TX. We strive to PROTECT the privacy of out fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only.

Story
Hi, I`m Wrangler!I`m a vibrant two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing 44 pounds, and I`m bursting with energy and love! We’re not exactly sure what I’m mixed with, but it might just be a colorful firecracker because I’m always ready for action. I adore every human I meet and greet them with boundless affection. Think of me as the friendliest best friend you`ve ever had in life.I get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, though my high energy levels might be a bit much for calm, sensitive pups. I’m looking for a very active family who can keep up with my need for daily exercise, both for my body and mind. I would make an excellent running or hiking partner, always eager to explore and lead the way. You’ll often find me bounding across the play yard or taking the lead on group walks. I’ve mastered leash walking, so I’m ready for any adventure you have in mind. Whether I’m the only dog in the home or have an active dog friend who enjoys romping and playing as much as I do, I’ll be perfectly happy. If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion to share an active lifestyle with, I’m your guy. Let’s hit the trails and make every day an adventure together!******Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Meet Sam: The High-Energy Cattle Dog Ready for AdventureSam is a spirited 33-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix who is bursting with playful energy and a big heart. This social boy doesn’t need treats to come say hello—he gets excited just seeing people and will eagerly climb up to give you all the kisses you can handle.Sam is a ball of fun in playgroups, where he enjoys sniffing out the “clues of the day” and playing chase with his dog friends. His enthusiasm and zest for life make him a favorite among his furry companions. With his boundless energy, Sam would thrive in an active family that loves outdoor adventures like hikes, long walks, and plenty of playtime. He walks well on a leash and is highly treat-motivated, which will make training a breeze. If you’re looking for an adventurous, loving companion to keep up with your active lifestyle, Sam is your perfect match!- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Booberry: The Curious ClimberBooberry is a stunning Australian Cattle Dog mix who’s starting to come out of her shell. While she doesn’t shy away from attention, she’s still learning to trust and doesn’t approach humans for pets just yet. She’ll curiously sniff an outstretched hand, showing that she’s open to connection, but she isn’t quite ready to lean in for affection. With patience and gentle encouragement, Booberry will blossom into a confident and loving companion.Weighing 30 pounds, Booberry is a calm and submissive friend around other dogs. She accepts sniffs and kisses from her canine pals and is beginning to run and play with them in the yard. She’s an excellent climber, though, and has been known to attempt scaling chain-link fences, so a secure yard is a must for her!Booberry isn’t leash-trained yet, but her love for treats makes her a quick study for anyone ready to help her learn. She would likely thrive as a hiking buddy, exploring mountain trails and soaking up the great outdoors with her forever family. Are you ready to give Booberry the loving, adventurous life she deserves?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Story
I am the most loyal doggo you will ever meet. If you don't want a shadow following you around in the shape of me, I'm not the dog for you. My favorite thing to do is play fetch outside. My humans say that I would literally collapse from exhaustion before I'd quit playing ball. I love to go for walks, get pets, and cuddle whenever possible. I do bark sometimes, but how else would I look out for you? I really am a lover, and just want to be the best boy I can be. A home with older children would be best. I have a lot of training and I learn new skills really quickly. I love being a working dog so give me a task or something to do and I'm on it. I lack manners at times, I like to barge through doors or open ones that are supposed to be closed but mainly because I just want to be involved. I've lived with other dogs, but I'd been around them multiple times (or grew up with them) so I'd suggest a slow and low energy introduction. Dog parks make me nervous and I can be reactive on leash to other dogs, so it's best that I don't go on walks with a lot of paw traffic or large crowds. I currently live with two children, under the age of two and frankly it stresses me out. Their quick movements, loud actions, and unpredictable behavior coupled with my breed as a herding dog, make it really hard for me to thrive in this environment. Older kids, where I can cuddle and they act more low key would probably be a better environment for me. I think the best place for me would be an older home, and possibly one where I can be spoiled rotten. I'm a comfort body so one that lets me on the couch and sleep in bed. Maybe a place with property so I can run around and cause trouble. I need a home with a lot of patience and love, because I need a lot and give a lot. I know how much my mom loves me, she's been my best friend since I was born and I know she's trying to give me the best chance to have the happiest life! I'd do best in a home with older children. My adoption fee includes a training program specific to my needs.
