Story
Harlow the 76 lbs lap dog! I said what I said, ok? Harlow is a 1 year old, male, Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Mix. This sweet, sweet boy is unfortunately, looking for a new home. You see, Harlow has springs on his feet. These springs sometimes land him on the other side of the fence where he doesn’t belong and his family is having a hard time keeping him contained. Harlow LOVES dog friends and he just leaves to go seek out canine companions to romp around with. So, he’s looking for a home with a 5-6 ft privacy fence and a canine companion that likes to wrestle and play. Harlow does well with the children in his home, however, he isn’t the most social guy and can be growly and on edge with new people, so we feel a home without a lot of comers and goers would be best for him. He warms up, but his humans should be mindful of his skepticism and help him learn to trust accordingly. He’s house trained, crate trained, and did we say a lap dog? Harlow has attended doggie day care and he LOVES it! However, he was shy and nervous with the staff but when they finally let him with the other dogs he lit up! Harlow is in foster in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/harlow. Ace! He’s ready to be your ace in the hole! Ace is a 2.5-year-old, male, Cattle dog mix. He’s a bigger dude, at approx 69 lbs. Ace is amazing with dogs, nearly perfect in a home, and knows a variety of tricks. He was adopted from MHCR as a young pup, however, as his human family grew, Ace became increasingly nervous around the small kiddos that came along. He’s never acted out or aggressively, he just gets anxious and uncomfortable. Therefore, Ace is seeking an adult only home without toddlers. Older kiddos are likely ok. Ace is a food motivated fellow, and his family has noted that all it takes is the right treat to get him to make the right choices. Ace is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/ace/. Story
Poor Kino was found by a dumpster in Texas. We don’t know how long he was on the streets, BUT we do know the street life was no life for him. He loves people and seems to have lived in a home at some point in his life. He is around 3 years old, about 55 pounds, and we assume a heeler type mix. After he was found by the dumpster, he ended up at a high-kill shelter in Houston and was euthanasia listed for space before he came to MHCR. He was very sick when first rescued; he was underweight and battling an infection. After some TLC in his foster home and various medical screens and antibiotics, he is doing much better now and is ready to find his family! Kino has done well with various other dogs, and he likes kids. He likes to play but is also low-maintenance in that he is crate trained, quiet, good on leash, and sleeps through the night. Pretty much perfect, right? Kino is a very smart, loving, and attentive dog who deserves the best from here on out. Please apply if you think there is space for him in your family! Story
Hi, I am Berkley. I am a super sweet, gentle and loving little pup looking for a home. I like to cuddle, get neck scratches and play with toys. I can be fearful of new people, places and of things going over my head so I need a home without children under 12 so I can warm up at my own pace. I can be scared of some other dogs and I do not like to share my stuff so I need to be your only pup. I would love to have an opportunity to meet you, warm up, win your heart and become your best friend.

Story
My name is Brandy! I'm a 1-2 year old Blue Heeler and German Shorthaired Pointer mix. I weigh around 40lbs and have energy for days. I am quite the talker and my herding genes come out when I play. My fosters think I could be a fantastic working or farm dog or hunting partner with some training, however, I would also fit right in with an energetic family. My fosters don't know my story but the Pet Association in Estes Park saved me from a high-kill shelter in Kansas. I love soft toys but will rip them apart if given the opportunity and I do fantastic with all dogs. Come meet me!

Story
Hello! We are Chandler and Bow. We are a bonded pair of cattle dogs looking for our new home. We are super sweet, friendly, and happy with people! We can be selective about or dog friends and would love to meet any dogs in the home before getting adopted to ensure we are a good fit. I love to play with cats but my brother likes to chase them so we may do best in a home without any cat friends. We are house trained using a doggy door, love to play, and enjoy going on walks. We can be shy at first and can show some resource guarding so we need a home without young children under 12. We look forward to meeting you!
