Story
To apply or learn more about Isco, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/2/isco Indigo is a 4 yr neutered cattle dog whippet mix (best guess) in need of a special home! Adopted as a puppy through HFP back in 2020, Indigo is looking for a quiet, calm adult home as your one and only! ✅ no separation anxiety ✅ housetrained, crate trained ✅ wonderful base of basic training ✅ smart & trainable ✅ cutest submissive grin/wiggle butt when you come home ✅ moderate activity (relaxed inside but loves to fetch and play!) ✅ doing much better at car travel He was adopted as a 4 month old puppy through HFP but sadly returned 3 years later -- he is currently in a Sacramento Foster home but is really in need of a home of his very own as his foster cannot keep him forever. More about Isco: he has a great base of training and ready to impress you with all his cues, including: Sit, Wait/Stay, Bed, Crate, Down and Off. He walks well on leash and doesn’t pull a ton. He LOVES to sniff everything during his walkies aka Sniffaris ( but doesn’t stop to mark, only sniff). He would do best in a quieter neighborhood as very busy places can make him nervous. Moderate energy -- he loves playing fetch in the backyard and a long daily walk would be ideal for Isco. In the home he is relaxed and independent. He has lived with 2 small dogs in the past and may be able to make dog acquaintances with slow intros but does not have a ton of experience with other dogs at this time. He would do best as prince of the palace as a solo dog in the home. Indigo previously lived with a cat who he loved to play with but can chase other cats, he may do well in a home with a well-matched cat friends; we ALWAYS recommend slow intros into the home/early separation for cats/dogs as they get to know one another. Indigo has the CUTEST prance and loves to play fetch. He is treat motivated which makes continued training and intros to people much more of a breeze. Housetrained, Crate Trained, around 55 lbs. Neutered, Vaccinated, Vetted, ready to be yours! Indigo adoption donation is sponsored. You might be wondering what “sponsored” means. A dog is sponsored when their foster or a donor loves them so much that they cover the adoption donation for a future adopter. This in hopes that the pup finds his or her forever family ASAP!

Story
It's pretty impossible not to love Louise! Louise is estimated to be around 2 years old and she has been fondly referred to as a "dream dog" by her foster mom. She is the sweetest girl who makes friends wherever she goes and is truly a little extrovert. She would thrive with an active family who can take her on lots of adventures, but also who wants a companion to enjoy lots of cuddles with. She has had a lot of changes in her life, but she has handled it with ease and makes herself at home wherever she is. Louise is fully grown and weighs about 35lbs. Louise came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Central California. She found herself at the shelter after her previous owner could no longer take care of her, and after a month with no adoption interest, she was placed on the shelter's euthanasia list. We knew Louise had so much potential to be someone's best friend and we are grateful to her foster family who stepped up to save her life. Louise is now doing great in foster care and is oh-so ready for her fur-ever home. Louise is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet and in typical cattle dog fashion, loves to provide endless entertainment. She is so goofy and it's literally impossible not to be smiling while spending time with her. She is very affectionate and will even put her paws on your shoulder so she can be upfront and personal and give you some kisses. She loves to cuddle and will happily make herself happy in your lap. She can also keep herself entertained while you're busy and has made a great working-from-home buddy. Her foster mom has found she is a great running partner and would love to be your new exercise buddy.  Louise loves other dogs and has become BFFs with the other playful dog in her foster home. She would love an active dog sibling but also could do well as an only dog with lots of doggy friends. We haven't seen Louise with cats, but she might do well with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Louise has done great with kids 10 years and older. Louise appears to be housetrained and has been doing great with her crate training. She is happy to hand out in there with a kong while her foster family is gone and sleeps through the night in there. She also is a big fan of sleeping in bed if you allow that. Louise has done well being home alone for short periods.  Louise seems to have had some basic manner training but would benefit from some continued training to help her be the best girl she can be. She is well-mannered around the house and has been non-destructive. Louise is such an amazing girl and she deserves a home just as fabulous as her. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Louise's adoption fee is $250.   App ly to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. December 2, 2024, 12:33 am

Sky is a 3 year old Blue Heeler mix. She is energetic, loves to fetch, and is loyal and true to her owner. Her desire is to be the Alpha of a dog home. She is obedient and strives to please her owner. We hope she will find a home where she is loved unconditionally, has the opportunity to be active and fetch, and preferably a family where she can be a solo dog.

Story
Hello, my name is Ruben and I am currently looking for a forever home for my boy, Charlie. Charlie is a blue heeler boxer mix. He is extremely intelligent and athletic. He has a wonderful disposition and is always eager to please. He loves people and needs a home with a family. I am a bachelor and I work long hours and I am unable to give him the attention and the that he needs. I think he would do best in a home where the family knows how to properly train and interact with this intelligent and athletic dog. I currently have a cat and another dog and he gets along fine with both. I think he would do great with a family that has a yard and is able to give him plenty of exercise.
