Breed: Australian Cattle Dog X DOB: 11/2019 Gender: male Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: medium Color(s): black/brown/white Description: Hi, I'm Gunner, an outgoing Australian Cattle Dog X in need of a new home due to something they referred to as divorce and having to sell the home. I don't know what that all is, but I do know I need a new place to call home. I'm good with other dogs and cats too, but I may chase the cat because I want to play. I'm active and good with older children, but not with younger children. I enjoy chasing tennis balls and going for walks. I need people to go slowly with me, letting me settle into my new home. I can get overwhelmed with too much petting and attention all at once. If you have room in your heart and home for me, please fill out an application to meet me.December 28, 2024, 3:54 pm

Story
Betsy was on a final plea list from a southern CA animal shelter when we picked her up. The shelter had been seeking rescue for her for quite some time with no response, primarily due to her behavior. Betsy isn't very accepting of new people and a new owner will need to give her plenty of time to bond without making demands on her. In our opinion, she's more of a working dog than a family pet. In other words, she's a serious dog, not a cuddler. She will make a good protector of her domain, and hopefully she'll be accepting of the folks she comes to know and trust. At 2 years old, Betsy is full-grown and she's solid, at 43 pounds. *We try to keep our posts up-to-date but there may be more dogs available for adoption than we have shared here. Please go to our website at www.dobiesandlittlepawsrescue.org to see all of our available dogs and fill out our adoption application.

Story
Racer is a newly-rescued Queensland Heeler (Cattle Dog) who came in with a female Heeler, so we paired them in our kennel. Racer seemed to become so overstimulated in our kennel environment that he bullied the female, so we placed her separately. He was then kenneled with a female Doberman, and that didn't go well either. Racer may be able to live with another dog in a home environment that is less stressful, but he might also do better as the only dog. He's just a year old, and he's small, at 29 pounds. The folks at the vet clinic where we had him neutered said he was calm and well-behaved.

Story
Breed: Australian Shepherd DOB: 5/17/2014 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: long Size: large Color(s): blue merle Description:Hi, I'm Gracie, a gorgeous Australian Shepherd who is in need of a new home as a previously torn ACL which remains susceptible to re-injury has made my current two story home uninhabitable for me.I enjoy eating, sleeping, cuddling and chilling. I'm good with children and cats, although I might want to chase them, but just to play. I'm not good with other dogs inside or outside the home. I'm still active, but due to my previous injury I need to be in a single story home and my activity needs to be monitored. I tend to be anxious at times so I take  trazadone to help keep this under control. My owners let me sleep with them, I hope you will too.As you can see from my photos, I ride great in the car, I enjoy playing in the sprinklers and I've been to the snow. I know basic commands and I'm sure I could learn more.If you're interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application.June 23, 2024, 3:17 pm
