Story
Benji is a hoot! This playful fella has all the happy antics of a young pup, but the experience to know some basics to being in a home. Benji walks good on leash, has good house-training manners, and enjoys a good romp in the yard before settling in for the night. Benji is at a great size too, not too big or too small at 40 pounds. His lineage is no longer a mystery as we had a DNA test donated, and turns out he mostly Australian Cattle Dog with a splash of Labrador and Supermutt! Benji is the number one choice for our Dog Day Out program and receives A+ remarks from his volunteer friends. He does well in the car, is up for any adventure, and really enjoys a pup cup at the end of the day. Although Benji has done well at the shelter hanging out with other dogs, he's shown jealousy tendencies when he's in a home, so he would do best as an only dog at home (no kitties either, please!). Benji would be a great choice for someone looking for a friend that can still keep up on walks or hikes, but is over the puppy stages of things. He'd also do great with someone who road trips a lot or even does full-time travel. The best way to get to know Benji is to come meet him yourself and talk with his caretakers. They're here Tuesday-Saturdays 9:30AM-3:00PM and would be happy to introduce you! Benji is approximately 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on all his flea/tick/heartworm preventatives! Interested in adopting? Story
We have had Lancelot since he was about 9 months old and he is now about 5 years old (specific birthdate unknown) he’s a red heeler aka Australian Cattle Dog who very much loves being loved but needs his energy out, as any cattle dog would, but I have two ASD children and so I don’t have as much time to give him proper training and exercise. He does well with kids but can get a little over excited with love nips so needs good training. He’s also a chewer of furniture if he’s not getting his energy out. If you make him a loved family dog and give him your time and energy he is a very sweet boy.

Story
Please consider rescuing our last sweet pup, Bon Bon!! We rescued a Heeler Mix in December that happened to be pregnant. Bon Bon was born on January 27th. She is extremely smart and eager to learn! She knows how to sit, give her paw, down and is currently learning to master the leash. She is good with kids and most dogs (as the first born pup, she's a natural leader and likes to be miss boss). Bon Bon is sweet and spunky, she loves belly rubs and affection! She is used to sleeping in her crate. She's currently mostly outside but we do let her inside the home for training. She loves being inside too :] THANK YOU for considering Miss Bon Bon!
