Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Shasta, a sweet and affectionate girl who's ready to find her new home! Shasta is a friendly and loving dog who enjoys cuddles and outdoor adventures. While she's confident and warm with people, she can be a bit shy when meeting new dogs. She's always up for outdoor fun, whether it's a walk, a hike, or just exploring new places with her favorite person by her side. If you're looking for a loving, easygoing companion who will thrive in a calm home and enjoys both cozy snuggles and outdoor exploration, Shasta could be the perfect fit for you!. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Meet Paloma: The Snuggle Queen and Couch Connoisseur** Introducing Paloma, a 6 year-old mix who has mastered the art of relaxation and cuddling. Once a skittish diva with a flair for chaos, Paloma has mellowed into the ultimate indoor enthusiast. These days, she’s all about lounging on the couch, soaking up belly rubs, and keeping her humans company. Paloma is selective with her canine friends, preferring the company of well-mannered boy dogs who understand her need for space. While she’s initially reserved, Paloma’s personality shines through once she feels comfortable and secure in her environment. Hiking and camping? Not her style. Paloma would much rather curl up on a comfy dog bed than explore the great outdoors. Mornings with Paloma are anything but dull. She greets each day with a breakfast performance that’s nothing short of spectacular. Once her meal is over, she’s back to her favorite spot, ready for a day of cozy relaxation. But here’s the catch—Paloma needs an owner with a strong personality who won’t let her run the show. She’s clever and quick to test boundaries, so her ideal human must be able to keep her in check and not give in to her charming ways too often. With a unique blend of quirkiness and calm, Paloma is the perfect companion for someone who values comfort and a touch of personality in their furry friend. Adopt Paloma, and prepare to welcome a laid-back, loving, and slightly quirky dog into your home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 7:50 pm

Story
We rescued Zora from a kill shelter several months ago. She is a very sweet, affectionate, and energetic dog. She will require the opportunity to go on long walks and runs. She's very playful and a wonderful hugger (her fur is soooo soft). She's very young. She was very good at using puppy pads, but has recently become confused as we're trying to train the dogs (we have 7) to go outside. She is very much a pleaser and will (usually) go to her crate when she's told. She loves to play with other doggies, but gets very nippy sometimes and terrorizes our pit bull who doesn't realize she could easily end Zora (and instead jumps in mommy's lap). We'd rather she never find that out. With my husband leaving the home (we are separating), the "alpha" is gone and Zora is now trying to assert dominance. Thus it's best for the other dogs and our preschooler if she lives elsewhere. We will miss her, but she's just too much for one small person to handle along with 6 other doggies.

Story
Meet Zion, a 1.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog surrendered to Woof Gang Rehab by his previous owners. True to the cattle dog breed standard, Zion is loyal, smart, alert, and wary of strangers. With Zion’s training, the issues he was having leading to his surrender are very well managed. Zion is working on proofing his advanced obedience training, walks very well on leash, and is reliable off leash. Zion is looking for an active home that will continue to implement structure and keep up with his training to keep setting him up for success. He would be an excellent sport dog for anyone interested in getting him into a competition sport and/or other active lifestyle like hiking, running, or camping. Zion is a happy boy and hasn’t met a person whose face he couldn’t put a smile on. He is extremely eager to please, his engagement with his handler is amazing, and he’s always ready to go, go, go! Zion gets along very well with foster sister Kimber (a lab). Kimber has shown Zion that strangers aren’t always danger and has helped his confidence with new people. All Zion wants is for his family and friends to PET HIM. Zion also does great with other dogs. Zion is available now, and is currently fostered out of San Diego, CA. Please follow his foster on IG, @cuddleswithkimber and @woofgangrehab to follow his training journey! Please visit Zion's available dog page on our website to learn more about our program and apply to adopt him: ZION: https://woofgangrehab.org/available_dog/zion/ APPLY: https://woofgangrehab.org/rescue/adoption-application/

*Courtesy Post* (San Diego) This is Blue, he is an 8 year old neutered male. He is crate trained, and potty trained. He is a big lover, however very protective of his home and an alpha dog. He seems to have some anxiety/stress due to the foot traffic constantly passing his current home situation. He would be best in a home with a yard, and no other dogs. He is a super loyal dog, and does well in the car. Loves walks, and tug a war. If interested please contact Kim at (760)310-0325 kdietrich714@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 4:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Rooney!! Rooney is a 11 year old Australian Shepherd mix who was surrendered to us when his family was going through a tough patch and could no longer keep him. Rooney is an active senior who loves longer walks, car rides, toys, fetch and all things involving water.  Rooney is good on the leash, has basic training and is house broken.  He does not have any known medical issues but could probably slim down a bit.  Rooney is great with people and kids.  In his younger days he went to dog parks regularly but as a senior he’s no longer a fan of wild young dog play so he’d prefer either a home where he is your one and only or a home with another more chill and calm dog.  He has recently developed some separation anxiety due to his current family situation so a home where his people are around more often than not would be best for him.  If Rooney sounds like the right dog for your home, Email labradorsandfriends@yahoo.com or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Rooney is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 13, 2024, 3:55 pm
