Paloma loves her dog foster siblings and even though she's surrounded by four giant Northern breeds that are over 80 pounds, she is adapting well and learning how to communicate with them. Rusty is 5yo and was adopted from an elderly family member that did not have the ability to give him the proper care he needed. Due to this, he was severely overweight (60lbs) when adopted, but through lots of hard work and time he is now down to a healthy 35lbs. He is a very sweet and loving boy, but due to living in a backyard with little to no contact with the outside world he is very wary and skiddish of new people, places, and things. He loves to play, has never showed any signs of aggression towards anything or anyone, but he does take time to warm up to new people and surroundings. He has received professional training, has good recall, can walk of leash well, and is fine being left alone for extended periods of time. However, he can be very vocal when he wants something (food, attention, etc), needs to go potty pretty frequently, and likes to stick to a routine. He would do best in an active home where he can get lots of exercise and love.

Ox he lives with us in Oakland, CA. He is a resilient 11 month old Australian Kelpie who will turn 1 years old in December! He unfortunately lost his back leg as a 6 month old due to a compound fracture in his femur. About 4 months after his amputation he sustained another injury to his back leg making him unable to move. This was with his previous family but we stepped in , got him surgery and started feeding him regularly , Ox is stronger and happier than ever only 1.5 months post surgery , you wouldn’t even know. He is a male who has been neutered, his shots are up to date and he’s great with others! He loves other dogs, loves to play and be outside. He loves his sleep time at night and is on a great routine for going outside to use the bathroom. He’s super smart, knows a few commands but is eager to learn more! We need to rehome him because we already have 3 dogs of our own and 4 is unfortunately to much in a one bedroom Apartment!
