We can not have a dog in our apartments any longer and it is hard to find one that accepts dogs. The cost of inflation has on every day life expenses we are behind on shots. She is healthy and a great dog she has plenty of toys and she also has a temprapidic bed and many bones. She comes with a Cuban link chain leash with harness. We don't want to charge the fact that she is not up to date for her shots. We know a good place that does not charge an arm and a leg. We just don't have the money right now times are tough. She is in good health great teeth. I have clippers and a nail grinder that comes with all her toys bones and bed with harness and dog leash. She has a beeping training collar that she responded with really well she comes with everything listed.

Bobby, neutered male, 13-months old, 42-lbs If you would like to give BOBBY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bobby is a lively, playful, and happy pup when around familiar environment. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards. Story
Hi my name is Kinley, a 10yr old Australian Cattle dog mix that currently weights about 48lbs! I am a loving and affectionate senior gal looking for a home with a favorite person that I can enjoy relaxing walks with. I'm working on my social skills so I prefer to be the only dog in the household with a family that understand the needs of working type dogs like me, that is prepared to work on my manners and continue my training. Please be sure to bring in the entire household to meet with me prior to adding me to the family! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Kinley ID# A953918 I recently went for a walk with one of my PHS Volunteer friends! Here is what they had to say: Sweet old lady! Really easy to gear and great to walk. I opened the door and she was sitting there waiting for me. She's a loose leash walker and might be potty trained.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Born November 19, 2022 · 90% Blue Heeler. Bandit was rescued a couple months ago — an outdoor only dog, who had no social skills, vaccines, etc. He was placed in 30-day board & train (they will be a support system), and now knows the commands sit, down, place, and break, but needs daily reinforcement as he’s still learning and young. He is crate trained. Bandit loves to cuddle on the couch, thinks he is a lap dog, enjoys fetch and agility activities, and is a big fan of water - especially with the hose. He is also a little snack thief; very food motivated! He is like a shadow, always following you around and eager to be by your side. He’s a big curious doofus, and is very lovable. Bandit would thrive in a single-dog home with someone patient, experienced, and willing to continue reinforcing training. Bonus if familiar with this high energy breed. He gets along well with our female cattle dog, but our older male mutt has been aggressive towards him.

These pups are in Palo Alto, California too!

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, September 21st, 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700   Apple Cider is a 9 month old Aussie-Bernie mix who is ready to spice up your life! Cider was rescued from the shelter by one of our volunteers. We don’t know how this handsome dude landed behind bars, but we know his journey ahead is as bright as the sun! We expect Cider to be in the 60-70 pound range as a full grown adult, as he currently weighs 53 pounds. Prepare for a “dog who is a little too big to be a lapdog but who doesn’t believe us when we tell him that!” Serve yourself a glass of the sweetest dog ever today!       Apple Cider is a goofy dude with a tail that would never stop wagging if he had one (he has a docked tail) and a smile that never leaves his face. He loves being near his people, but he makes best friends in seconds of meeting new people as well! He wins over even the most dog-skeptical humans. Apple loves his walks and is the perfect size for adventures. Whether you’re strolling through a pumpkin patch, camping under the stars, or heading to the park, Cider is ready to join you! Apple is great with other dogs and loves getting his zoomies on. However, he’s also just as content to lounge the hours away. As long as his people are in his sights, he is happy! Apple Cider is so sweet and loves affection, but is also such a happy and content guy. As long as you give him a walk he is just thrilled. Cider would thrive in a home with an active human or other dog as he has tons of energy. He’d be an amazing running buddy! He’d probably actually encourage you to hit the trails more often, and who doesn’t need a buddy boost.  Apple Cider starts his day when his foster people do, between 7 and 8 AM. He starts with breakfast and then wags his tail until he heads out on his morning walk. He loves long strolls in the hills as he greets his various furry friends. During the day, Cider hangs out around the house, always wanting to be where his people are and where the action is. In the evening, Cider gets a second walk around the neighborhood and then comes home for dinner and a treat. Meals are his favorite times of the day, this dude loves to eat! After dinner, Cider does his best to make himself a lap dog, soaking up all the cuddles and snuggles he can. Around 9 PM, he goes out for one last potty break before he settles in for the night on his dog bed.  Apple Cider gets along fabulously with dogs of all ages. He would love a playmate in his forever home whether canine or human. Cider would benefit from training as he has tons of puppy energy. He needs a home that will set boundaries and commit to a training plan with him to improve upon some of his puppy naughtiness. Cider happily embarks on his walks but needs some additional correction as he sets out. Cider is such a friendly and good boy. He will be so loved and will shower you in that love right back. You’ll never enter a room without seeing his wagging tail and his bright smile again!      Apple Cider is an option for those with prior dog experience. Interested homes should be ready for an active dog. Kids in the home should be teens or older.November 16, 2024, 3:57 pm

Honey was rescued from the shelter where she was surrendered for reasons unknown. This fluffy gal needed a hero and we swooped her up, promising a lifetime of cuddles and yummy snacks! Honey weighs 17 pounds currently, and we expect she will be a medium sized dog when she reaches her adult weight. We will be looking for homes prepared for all that comes with large breed puppyhood. Ready for the sweetest new best friend? Come on down and reserve your Honey Baked Ham for the holidays!      Honey is a playful, young bundle of energy who lights up every room she enters. She is always ready for a game of fetch or a spirited run around the house. Honey has an out of this world enthusiasm for life, and she makes your day better just by wagging her tail into it. She’s the perfect blend of energy, ready for a hike during the day but also a total sweetheart who adores cuddling up on the couch for some quality snuggle time at the end of the day. Honey thrives on attention and loves being the center of it, charming everyone with her wagging tail and bright eyes. While she’s still learning the ropes of doghood, she prances through life on her uncoordinated legs without a care in the world. She’s happiest when she has a toy in her mouth and someone to share her adventures with. We expect she will be the perfect companion for all the hikes, camping trips, kayaking adventures, or trips under the stars you have planned! This little ball of love and fun can’t wait to bounce into your life and make it so much better than you ever imagined!  Honey wakes up around 7 AM and heads to the backyard to work on her potty skills. She eats three times a day: 9 AM, 2 PM, and 7 PM, with lots of training snacks in between meals. During the day, she alternates between zooming around, getting her cuddles, and snoozing on the couch. She’s always ready to pop up and zoom after a toy if she hears a squeak, even if she’s completely zonked out. Once her foster mom finishes her workday, she soaks up all the love and cuddles she can until dinner. She has lots of snuggles on the couch as she starts to unwind from the day. After one last potty session outside, she heads into her crate at 10 PM.  Honey has lived with dogs of various ages and sizes. She would love a playful companion in her forever home but would also fly perfectly fine solo. She adores humans and can’t wait to charm her new people, but would probably be better with slightly sturdier-aged children. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for continued training and socialization to ensure she is a well-rounded adult. Ready for sweetness? Adopt Honey!       Honey is only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last five years. Kids should be over the age of 9.November 18, 2024, 5:32 pm
